Jai is seen striding inside the Walia Mansion, alone and his face shows what he already knows but just wants to see from his own eyes….as Jai goes inside, he sees Pia and Pushkar taking the "Saat Pheras" and Bani turns to look at Jai. Somehow, Bani redeemed herself in my eyes by her reaction to Jai today….she has no expression on her face, except a steely courage but her eyes are pained and hurt….Jai keeps staring at them for some time and then gives one look at Bani….Aditya, Dadi, Saahil and Anu along with Pushkar's family are all present. Jai goes ahead (OMG….he looks incredibly sexy today…) he doesn't have any anger on his face nor any sorrow, he just walks towards them. Bani suddenly come in front of him and again without any expression on her face tells him politely but firmly that, "Mr. Walia, please yahin ruk jaayie." Jai doesn't take his eyes of Pia and Pushkar and tells Bani, "Hat jao Bani" but she refuses to move and again requests him to stop where he is (She is not ordering but at the same time she is not even pleading….I loved the way the scene was shot, cannot really explain in words) Jai gives one shove to Bani and pushes her aside and still without taking his eyes of the runaway couple, goes near to the Mandap. Just then the Pandit announces that Pia and Pushkar are husband and wife. Jai stops where he is and his face turns ice-cold…but completely expressionless. Jai gives one look at Bani, who too has no expression on her face but a relief…..
Then suddenly Jai comes into action and goes to the Mandap where Pia and Pushkar are standing looking at Jai with dread, Jai goes and holds their "Ghatbandhan" in his hands and as Bani, Aditya and the others look in horror and shock, he tries to loose the same. Just then the Media people come in and Jigyasa rushes to Jai and whispers in his ears that the entire Media is here, and that if he attempts anything like this, it would be all over the newspapers. Jai is now furious and tells Jigyasa that he no longer cares who thinks what about him, but somehow Jigyasa manages to hold him back and tells him that let them get away with this; we will make them pay a huge price for this transgression. Jai looks at Jigyasa and holds back his breath and walks away from Pia and Pushkar, who suddenly get their breath back!
As Jai tries to leave the Mandap where the Media has surrounded him, Bani calls out to him, very politely and asks him, "Mr. Walia, aap Pia aur Pushkar ko ashirwaad nahin denge?" Jigyasa is furious and gives one cold stare at Bani, while Jai turns back and gives one of his nastiest look at Bani and then Pia and Pushkar come to him.
Beautiful Scene:
Pia and Pushkar stand in front of Jai, who has a dead look in his eyes, Pushkar is looking petrified (Coward) while Pia has guilt and fear, both in her eyes and she is weeping quite openly. Jai keeps looking at both of them. And then in a scene, which I felt was just amazing, both Pia and Pushkar fall at Jai's feet for his blessings…Jai just keeps standing still, he doesn't bless them, but he doesn't even move back. As they both get up, Pia is now weeping like crazy and Pushkar looks as if he is going to make Pia a widow any moment, he looks white with fright! Jai then comes forward and with a cold, dead look in his eyes, he hugs Pushkar in an embrace and whispers in his ears that this is just the beginning of a lifetime of enmity and he will have to wait and watch what Jai will do to him. Pushkar looks shocked and is rooted to the spot. Jai then looks at Pia, and a certain softness comes in his eyes (Oh God, he still loves her!) and Pia keeps looking at him, constantly weeping (at least she had the courtesy to cry and look terribly guilty) In an unexpected reaction, Jai holds Pia's face in his hands and very gently and with great affection, plants a kiss on her forehead (OMG, I loved Jai for this….) and Pia looks at him with the same affection and love! Jai then very softly and with great love in his voice tells her, "All the best, May God bless you". Bani's eyes are moist as she looks at the scene, but her face is completely devoid of any expression or emotion; Jai then abruptly walks away, while Pia looks completely broken down with emotion!!! It was a marvelously well-directed scene…Kudos to Ram Kapoor, Roshini Chopra, Prachi Desai, Naman Shaw and the Director and Scrip Writer of the Scene!
Jigyasa is looking completely furious and as Bani is standing rooted to the spot without any expression or emotion (Today she actually had no expression on her face, not one….she looked like a wooden frame…I think it was deliberate…..but whatever, she did a fantastic job as usual!) Jigs comes up to Bani and tells her rather bitingly that once a woman gets married, her first and foremost duty and loyalty is towards her husband and Bani still is busy fulfilling her duties towards her "Maayka" Bani is standing with her head down and has no emotion on her face as Jigs further tells her very bitterly that it was her good luck combined with her sister's running away that she became Jai Bhaiyaa's wife, else did she ever think that a man like Jai would even give a second look to someone ordinary and pedestrian like Bani. Aditya is standing nearby and looks furious, but Bani keeps completely quiet and has no reaction whatsoever. Jigyasa then says that by getting Pia and Pushkar, who are at present Jai Bhaiyaa' biggest enemies married in his own house, she has broken off all her ties with her husband and that she will only be married in name from now. Jigyasa further says that Bani has broken the sanctity of marriage by going against her husband and siding with his enemies. Bani is still standing like a stone sculpture, with no expression on her face. Aditya turns towards Jigyasa and tells her very sarcastically that of all the people you are talking about the sanctity of marriage, the woman who left her husband. Jigyasa tells Aditya to shut-up and not forget in whose house he is living, Aditya tells Jigyasa that he has not forgotten that he is living off his friend, but has she forgotten that the house she is living in is not her own, but her brother's. Jigyasa is effectively silenced and Aditya tells her that if she had followed the sanctity of her marriage, then she would have been in her husband's house and not her Brothers. Jigyasa looks furious and walks away from there. Bani is still standing without any emotion, as if she is in some sort of an Emotional Coma!
The next scene shows that Jigyasa bumps into Dadi who is joking with Anu. Jigyasa tells Dadi that what sort of a disgusting woman is she, who instead of mourning with her own people is enjoying in the happiness of others. Dadi is least bit moved and replies back that its very sad and funny to hear Jigs uttering such filmy dialogues. Jigyasa looks furious and tells her that Jai Bhaiyaa and she will make everyone who dared to go against him pay for it dearly. Dadi doesn't say anything and Jigyasa storms off. I wondered where on Earth Ranveer was?
The next scene shows Pia's Vidaai with some strange song being played in the background; I think it was a Rajasthani Vidai song (Ok, so Pushky is a Rajasthani or something!) Pia looks quite pretty in a deep maroon lengenga with lots of jewellery and Pushkar looks as if he is having constipation and diarrhea together! He really had some silly expression's today….basically he was too scared….ek toh muft mein dushman mol le lie, who bhi Jai Walia se, upar se yeh musibat gale pad gayi, zindagi bhar ke liye…Aur karo Ishq Boss ki girlfriend se!!! Pia finally comes near the Car and hugs Bani who is now crying and tells Pia that she is feeling bad that Pia had to get married in such a manner. Pia breaks down and tells her that as long as she lives she will never forget all that Bani did for her and she feels terrible to leave Bani in this house. Bani says that don't worry about me, Rano is there with me. Bani tells Pushkar's mother to take care of Pia.
Next scene shows that Pia and Pushkar are waiting outside their house for their "Grahpravesh" and Pushkar' mother is getting the Aarti Ki Thaali ready when some creditors come inside all of a sudden and demand that they should get all the money they had loaned to Pushkar's brother. On asking they say that they had loaned the money because their family had excellent relations with Jai Walia but now everyone knows the state of affairs and that they cannot risk their money and want it back. Pushkar's brother looks mortified and tells them that he has already put all the money in business, where will he get it from all of a sudden, the creditors refuse to listen out to him. Pia looks miserable and begins crying (I think she is sadder for the fact that she realized what she has left behind…Jai! I thought that she had the same love and longing in her eyes that Jai had when he kissed her….) while Pushkar' Bhabhi is making some funny faces. Pushkar' mother who is looking at all this drama keeps the Aarti ki thaali and goes inside and come out with lots of jewellery boxes and hands them over to the creditors and tells them that this is all the jewllery that is lying in the house and that they can have it. Whatever balance is left will be settled afterwards. The creditors take leave, while Pushkar' bhabi comment very bitingly that when a new Bahu comes, she brings in "lakshmi" with her but as soon as Pia has kept her legs inside the house, she has taken all the "Lakshmi" out….Pia looks miserable….Welcome to Pushkar Land, Pia Darling…Ab Aayega Mazza…Jai doesn't have to punish you….your marriage will become your greatest punishment!
Classic Scene of the Day:
Bani is shown waiting for Jai in his study (or was it their room?) and looks very tensed and anxious. Jai strides like a tiger from behind (Oh my, there was something incredibly animal like in him today…dunno what…but he has never looked so smashing) and comes and stands in front of Bani with a frosty and detached look in his eyes. Bani takes a deep long breath and kind of manages to face him without flinching. Jai then says in a bitingly, blithe and bitter tone that of all the places on Earth, Bani dared to get Pia and Pushkar get married at his own house. Bani tires to appear calm and tells him, now in a definitely pacifying & peace-making voice that she had been left with no option but to get them married at his house. As Jai listens to her with a frosty and hateful look, Bani tells him that she knows and realizes what Pia and Pushkar have done is wrong (Finally she admits, that too in front of Jai) but what has been done has been done and that they have already paid for their mistakes and nothing will be achieved by punishing them further. Jai keeps staring at Bani as she speaks softly and with a "please, try and understand me" kind of tone that now Pia and Pushkar are married and that Jai should forgive them and get rid of this hatred and bitterness which he has stored in his heart. Jai gives one final glare at Bani and tells her, OK, I will do what you are telling me, I will not only forgive Pia and Pushkar but also forget that all that happened, but you will have to give me one thing in return. Bani looks at Jai in trepidation as he brings pathos and incredible hatred in his voice and tells Bani, make me go back to the time when Pia did not come into my life.
As Bani listens with incredulity and a sense of doom, Jai tells her get me back my peace of mind, get me back my mental stability, get me back my happiness and I will forget everything. Bani closes her eyes in frustration and agony and pleads with Jai that how can she bring back the time that has gone by, no one can, not even God. Jai then gives her a baleful look and tells her that if she cannot give him his lost time back, how can she ask him to move forward? Bani is stunned at his reply and just keeps looking at him, as Jai tells her that Pia is a forgotten chapter for him now and Pushkar will be settled in leisure…but as of now, he wants to teach some basic lessons to Bani. As she listens in numb, deathly silence, Jai tells her that didn't she call him her "Darling Husband" in the party, he will now teach her what a husband is all about. Jai further says that you took the sacred seven rounds around the fire, "Saat Phera" with me, I will teach you the meaning of every Phera…..as Bani listen to her fate being spelled out by an unforgiving, unrelenting Jai, he tells her that from now onwards she will dread the day she came into Jai's life and became his wife. Jai says that isn't she very proud of her sisters, of the love she has for them, he says wait and see, I will destroy the fabric of your life, I will steal away every little happiness that you ever had, I will destroy the very love you shared with your sisters, I will turn everyone whom you loved and cared for against you…I will leave you completely alone in the world with no one but Jai Walia for Company and then she will no what has happened to her. As Bani listens with a blank face and a dead look in her eyes, Jai tells her that start counting your moments from now onwards, cherish every moment that passes peacefully for you, because you are going to face such a bad time from him that you won't be able to see your own face in the mirror. Jai says that because of her he wasn't able to face the World, and now because of him, she won't be able to face herself. As Bani hears her death summons, Jai tells her finally, "Ab mein tumhein bataonga ki shaadi ka matlab kya hota hai…."
Summary and Comments :
Bani has already been punished for her betrayal, nothing worse can hurt her more : After today's episode, one thing has become very clear…that Jai has deeply & passionately loved Pia, so much that, he is willing to annihilate everyone in his hatred, but chooses to forgive the girl because of whom all this happened in the first place…I thought that the kiss on the forehead said it all….and Bani's eyes had so much of pain when Jai did that, because at that instance she knew, that even though she is Jai's wife, she will never be his love…that place has been taken by Pia forever….what worse punishment can a wife have, what can pain Bani more than the fact that her husband's heart belongs to her sister and that she will always be the second person in his life? I think she has become the biggest loser amongst all…..I really feel bad for her today!
Jai's reaction: Once again, this man takes my breath away…and once again, I am referring to both Ram Kapoor and to Jai Walia! You can never guess what he is upto…totally unpredictable that is what makes Jai Walia so enigmatic and so great a character! Jai's reaction at seeing Pia and Pushkar get married was very atypical, it had both the shock of an unexpected blow but at the same time the realization that he had known this would happen! Then the usual rage and fury that he displays by trying to unknot the sacred knot of marriage, then it subsides down to a cold-fury as Jigyasa restrains him from doing so, then the look of complete hatred he gives to Pushkar who shudders to stand in his presence and then the tender, affectionate kiss he plants on Pia's forehead and then the final look of "I will finish you off, by mind and by body, forever" kind of look he gives to Bani when she comes to offer him an Olive Branch….Just amazing! I am so in love with him….Jai leave Bani and come to India-Forums, we will have a Swayamvar for you….and you can choose as many brides as you want!
Bani's reaction: Was extremely confusing! She actually had no expressions on her face, nothing at all….I simply couldn't fathom out what she was thinking! When Jai comes inside the Walia House, she looks at him with anticipation but that later gives way a "calm, serene, the-game-is-over type of look but without a trace of arrogance or condescension", then there was a "persuasive yet beseeching" look in her eyes when she asks Jai to give his blessings to Pia and Pushkar, then there was a "deep hurt & anguish" in her eyes when Jai kisses Pia, then there was a innate sense of "guilt & remorse" in her eyes when Jigyasa tells her that she had broken the sanctity of marriage by going against her husband, then there was a "please forgive and accept me" kind of look when she goes to Jai's study to talk to him and then there was "defeat and ache" in her eyes when Jai refuses to forget his past and finally there was "hopelessness and dread" in her eyes when Jai tells her that he is going to teach her what "Marriage" really means….Prachi did an excellent job as she always did….but I just found Bani's reaction to be very extraordinary and tough to describe in words…wait for the episode guys, you will know for yourselves!
Jai has forgiven Pia, Pushkar is already destroyed and Bani's life will become her biggest tragedy: Jai ominous words to Bani prove that she is going to have a roller-coaster of a life with her "Darling Husband"….Jai is going to pull all stops now…because he no longer cares for Pia, in the sense that he has accepted her marriage, Pushkar is already on his way to self-destruction and the one and only person left to be ruined is Bani! I am sure some nasty surprises are in store for Mrs. Walia….and she seems to already know what it is…..believe me Jai spares no words when it comes to threatening her today!
Jai and Bani's future : Very, Very bleak and dreary….at least Bani's for sure! At this point of time, Jai has forgiven Pia it seems and Pushkar is not currently on his hit-list…he just wants to spend his whole concentration, time and energy on his wife…the woman who finished it all for him….I am not commenting on whether what Bani did was correct or wrong, but what Jai is going to do is certainly wrong….if he can forgive Pia, why cannot he forgive Bani….he might not accept her as his wife, that itself is a punishment for Bani, now why torture her more….I don't know what he meant by the line that he will teach Bani what it means to be married…I really am in no mood to see another "Ansh-Nandini" episode here….please, Jai is way above all this and should remain so!
What an episode….amazing! Ekta Kapoor is really surprising me this time….I hope Kasamh Se keeps following the same tempo and doesn't fall into the trap of usual K-series Soaps….do share your views on what you thought about the episode and the update!
