Not bad actually. You can say you sing at shows for free or charity and then accept huge sum as gifts in dollars 😆

I saw a video of some Middleeast Arabs pouring US$ over a dancing girl.
Now these are not gifts but earnings.😆

If you say earning the government will claim its share. so better give it as gift if you do not want it shared

The article says a troupe of 15 members. Doesn't that mean the whole troupe is arrested?

This is a case of tax evasion. unfortunately, for him, he had to travel so he got caught other wise "money in the mattress" or "pani ki tanki" are safe options.
As far as the "why he did not take money in indian rupees is concerned" lol..well let me try to use my brain a little..lol..hmmm...could it be that he is going to PAKISTAN? lol.
1) Will it not be easier to carry 1 lakh dollar than 50 lakh Indian rupees
2) Will it be not easier to get dollar converted to pak rupees then converting 50 lakh indian rupees in pakistan
3) Is dollar not a better investment. its 85 pakistani rupees and rising

bottom line is stop bringing india pak conspiracies into every petty issue...this is no sarfarosh. there are no other reasons being looked into because there are none...rahat is not the only one to be blamed here. the company run by chritesh shrivastav who is a brother of aadesh shrivastav was raided and many others name have come out. They are checking which other stars are involved.

Rahat is one of those artists people don't mind spending the top$ for the front row seat to watch him perform live. All his shows here last year were sold out weeks before the live date.
I was so looking forward to his show this year but as a tax payer I don't think I would be willing to spend money on him knowing what I know now..
He still is a great artist but a lousy tax payer.

If all fans do this the artists will be more careful about their tax payments😃

^^^ yup...I think like charitable organisations, public performer entities should disclose their finances related to public performances for transparency.
