I think its the time for CV's to be some more creative... Now a days a dosage of comedy has taken a front chair...janta clearly wants more of cute sushaan scenes along with other tracks. I think they can give us "N" number of cute romantic scenes.. This is the time when they can get high TRP's but CVS r failing to deliver......

The slip in the ranking last week is clearly evident that people have not at all liked "Q" of pain at the time of happiness that to when they were united after long long wait..

I have also observed as per S days rankings SGP is not there in top 10..the reason obvious???? We want SGP to be at no1..bt not down.....CVS plz put ur thinking caps and fulfill our dream.

Riding on the back of Idea Filmfare Awards 2010, Sony Entertainment Television has managed to widen its gap with sibling channel SAB TV by a significant margin.

Riding on the back of Idea Filmfare Awards 2010, Sony Entertainment Television, the fourth spot occupant in the Hindi GEC (general entertainment channel) genre, has managed to widen its gap with sibling channel SAB TV by a significant margin. The property has scored a peak TVR of 5.17.

According to TAM (C&S 4+, HSM), Sony has added 26 GRPs to its score card, thereby broadening its gap with SAB TV by 27 points for the week ended January 12. The channel currently stands at 180 GRPs, up from the 154 GRPs registered in the previous week. Its relative share for the week has also moved up significantly, from 11.3 per cent to 13.7 per cent.

It is pertinent to note here that in Week 6, Sony was only 2 GRPs ahead of SAB TV. During that period, SAB, at the fifth position, had scored 152 GRPs. Its relative channel share was 11.2 per cent for the week. However, for Week 7, SAB has added just one point to its kitty to stand at 153 GRPs.

Meanwhile, STAR Plus continues its hold on the top slot; it has lost 9 GRPs during the week to stand at 318 GRPs. Its relative share has, however, seen a marginal upswing from 24 per cent in Week 6 to 24.2 per cent in Week 7.

At No. 2, Viacom 18's Colors has lost 27 GRPs and has 238 GRPs in Week 7. Its relative channel share has also moved down from 19.5 per cent to 18.1 per cent in this period. At the third spot, Zee TV has lost 31 GRPs to stand at 219 GRPs; its channel share has also declined from 18.4 per cent in Week 6 to 16.7 per cent in Week 7.

At No. 6, Imagine TV has lost 14 GRPs during the week to score 86 GRPs. Its relative share has also fallen to 6.6 per cent from 7.4 per cent. STAR One, with an additional 6 points in its pocket, is at 41 GRPs with a channel share of 3.1 per cent.

STAR Utsav is at No. 8. The channel's relative share and GRPs have dipped marginally to 2.1 per cent (2.2 per cent in the previous week) and 28 GRPs (30 GRPs in the previous week), respectively.

Sahara One and DD1 have garnered relative shares of 2.1 per cent and 1.3 per cent, respectively.

Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking a TVR of 5.85, followed by Saathiya Saath Nibhana, and Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 with TVRs of 5.54 and 5.17, respectively.

Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Pratigya and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai follow with TVRs of 5.02, 4.8 and 4.73, respectively.

Sasural Genda Phool (4.42 TVR), Na Aana Is Des Laado (4.18 TVR), Balika Vadhu (4.04 TVR) and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma (3.95 TVR) also form part of the Top 10 list.

I think if they stick to basic story line and leave all the Star Plus gimmicks on side , it would do well. But the problem is not SGP , problem is our masses, they still like Masala movies, without sar paair and Saas Bahu Jhamailas, thats why serials like S and P are doing so well, good for them as they are giving all the masalas public wants. So I guess the TRP would never be that high as our mainstream public like FULL on DRAMA!!

It is not fair to blame only the creatives of the show. SP is playing a big spoiltsport in this. Do they have the show at a time when people can watch it. At 7.30 people are just getting back from work or taking in the day. The next repeat is at around 3am!! Who stays awake to watch tv at this hour. The next one is at 5pm. While they keep repeating the other suffering from brain damage shows, why is sgp, being given such a raw deal??

As far as i can see, it is 70% fault of Star Plus. 20% of the creatives and 10% of we the viewers - we are looking for quick-fix all the time.
