They hit it off instantly as they commenced shooting for Pratha and their friendship blossomed into romance in no time. But male lead Vishal Karwal, known for his colourful nature, started dating another girl and that's how the relationship between Karwal and the original protagonist Shalini Chandran went sour.

One time 'more than just friends' started sharing cold vibes on the sets and they even stopped exchanging customary greetings. And now we hear that apparently it was on Vishal's insistence that Parul Chauhan replaced Shalini overnight.

"Vishal brags about the fact that he is the channel's favourite and hence has nothing to worry about. He is always busy with his laptop and mobile phone and behaves like a star on the sets. Shalini and Vishal got along really well in the beginning and the two started dating. However, things changed post Vishal's trip to Goa during the New Year. After returning from Goa, he stopped talking to Shalini completely.

Later he started getting his girlfriend on the sets of the show, which expectantly didn't go down well with Shalini. Small arguments and cold vibes escalated to a level, where Vishal expressed his displeasure over shooting with Shalini and informed the channel that it would be either him or her on the show. Reacting to his demand, channel replaced Shalini who was informed on the same day as Parul commenced the shoot." reveals a source.

Shalini refused to comment on this. However, Vishal said, "I wish I was big enough an actor to get someone replaced. The channel had issues with her right from the beginning and they never wanted her in the first place."
