hey guyz..i've been JDJ since the first episode and sushant and ankita are always supporting each other and looking at each other NO MATTER WHAT THE TOPIC IS...for example, one thing that pissed me off was that during Daya's elimination, they were standing next to each other as if it was like their fantasy land instead of participating like others...this greatly bothers me.

Apparently you did not notice that SUSHANT WAS CHEERING THE LOUDEST WHEN DAYA GAVE A FABULOUS PERFORMANCE BEFORE BEING ELIMINATED. He came RUNNING to give Daya a TIGHT HUG when he gave such a good performance and he had a very big smile on his face. He was the first one who came to hug Daya that day. Even when they were focussing on Daya and his reactions, you could see he had a BIG SMILE in the back and was CLAPPING LOUDLY. Even the most ardent Daya fans said that it was a very sweet gesture on Sushant's part.
What is really wrong if Sushant and Ankita stand with each other or support each other? Why does it make them seem self-centered? Sushant-Ankita know each other for about 2 years now, they literally spend a lot of time together due to intense shoots for PR and hence have a great connection. They obviously will not have the same comfort level with all the other participants. If you are at a party where you don't know everyone so well and your best friend is also there in the party, wouldn't you like to be with him/her???? What is wrong here???? It is quite understandable and expected.
Plus you have to also see that the channel purposely tries to focus more on Sushant-Ankita by trying to cash in on their 'love story'. So you will always see the hosts asking them to comment on each others performances , Sush-Anki themselves do not initiate it. Also Sushant's face and reactions are shown in close focus whenever judges comment on Ankita and vice-versa(again channel strategy). This doesnt necessarily mean they don't pay attention when comments of other contestants are shown or they are given marks. In all probability, it can mean that the channel doesn't focus at that time on them or choses not to show it. In fact the channel avoids showcasing the friendship and masti of the contestants - which is something I would have personally liked to see. But still some of the moments of the contestants are caught off guard in the episodes- about which I'm stating below.
The thing to be observed and taken note of here, is that Sushant and Ankita DO NOT seem to ignore other contestants or choreos for being with each other. If you want to see examples of Sushant and Ankita bonding with other participants then here are few of them:::::
1.) Sushant and Chang were dancing together on Munni Badnaam hui (Ankita was also there at that time, but Sushant and Chang were the ones dancing together in the back)
2.) Sushant and Salman Masti after Salman and Yana's wild card entry (this was when the end credits were rolling). Ankita was also there at that time, but she was dancing with Shampa and other girls.
3.) Sushant's masti with Chang and Mahi during the rehearsal for the song - 'Jutey de do, paise le lo..'
4.) Chang teasing Ankita and she giving one of her famous whacks to him during the third week when Sushant hugged Madhuri.
5.) Ankita and Salman camarederie in week 4.
6.) When Sushant was asked who should be in top 3- the first names he took were Yana and Chang, then after some hesitation, he took the third name as Ankita. Where is the self-centeredness here?
7.) Sushant was sitting with Chang and confiding in him during the wildcard round.
8.) Pics of Sushant, Salman and other choreos on facebook doing masti together.
9.) Pics of Chang, Salman etc with Ankita and Sushant on Ankita's facebook page.
10.) Sushant's comments on his page at the official JDJ site where he wrote about Shekhar's elimination saying it felt bad to see him go.
11.) Ragini said on her chat that Sushant and Ankita are very sweet people. She also praised Sushant's performance at her page at the JDJ official site. So did Yana, who also praised Ankita. So people do like them and have nothing against them.
12.) When everyone was asked their views on the group performance/relay performances, every contestant spoke only with reference to the competition- like how it was a different concept and it added on to the competition and it could help them gain more points. Shekhar clearly said it is risky cos if even one person makes a mistake rest all will suffer. At that time, Sushant was the contestant who said only one line about the group performance, 'It is FUN cos we are all dancing TOGETHER and rehearsing TOGETHER this time than INDIVIDUALLY.' A point to be noted here is, that during the first relay performance and group performance (when these comments were taken) Ankita wasn't part of the same performing group as he was. Inspite of that he was having fun (he, Chang and Mahi were doing masti and she was pulling their ears) and seemed pretty excited about it.
About what you said about Sushant not paying attention to judges, I NEVER ever felt like that. He seems to listen to all the judges. He obviously has a soft corner for Madhuri since she is his favourite and a crush, but he also listens to Remo's remarks (which are also the most intelligent and detailed ones) as you said, and he was the one who invited Malaika to stage asking her to dance with all of them on Munni Badnaam Hui song. In fact he himself escorted her to the stage. At the end of the judges comments, he thanks all the judges individually.
Yes, at the end of the day its your opinion and I can't change that. But I just wanted to point out the other side of the story which you seem to have conveniently ignored while basing your opinion. Since you said that you were a fan, I hope you will reconsider.
At the end of the day, the channel edits out many things and chooses not to show many things, so making an opinion about a contestant is difficult and maybe not even right. However, if at all it is to be done, then one should try to take ALL factors and ALL scenes into consideration, especially those when the contestants are caught off guard in the background, when they do not know that the cameras are focussed on them- and not make opinions only on a few select scenes or what the channel intends to show deliberately (Sushant-Ankita romance)
