The A Plan! Rashi was beginning to annoy everyone in the house, she had been annoying Kokila for the past few days ever since she had remembered it was Valentine's Day soon, she was shamelessly dropping hints to Jiggar about what she wanted, but it changed daily so the poor guy didn't stand a chance. First it was 12 red roses, then it was the finest chocolates, then it was a teddy bear holding a balloon or a dozen red roses, so far. Ahem had had enough, he couldn't bear this he went upstairs.
He sat on the chair in his room he began to check his e-mail and a smile appeared on his face, 'delivery confirmed' said the e-mails, he had been too nervous to check for a few days. He wondered what the recipient of his gifts was doing right now and if she knew that they were from him. First day, he had sent a dozen long stemmed red roses, second day he had arranged for a group to serenade her with 'Aye Mere Humsafar', from the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, because he felt the song lyrics and the film titled summed the situation up. Today she would receive chocolates and snacks, some looked like teddy bears, others like flowers and some were in the shape of love hearts. Another e-mail had arrived; it was confirmation from UPS that his delivery would reach its destination by the 10th February 2011. Ahem was almost ecstatic with joy, she would be surprised tomorrow he thought and wished he could be there to see her face, but he knew he was the one responsible for situation, he had gotten married to please his mother instead of marrying to make himself happy.
Ahem desperately wanted to see her but he knew that he had to stick to his plan it was the only way he could make her realise that he understood, how big the mistake was that he had made, he needed to stick to it.
When the 11th February arrived he didn't want to go to work but knew he had to, everything had to appear as normal, especially to his family, he knew they would be shocked by what he had done, but he had to do it, this way he would be happy, if everything went as he planned he would be with the wife he had chosen for himself. But Ahem was worried would his mother accept his decision, would she be happy, would his future wife be happy, would she forgive him for the decision he had made. His computer bleeped, he rushed to his desk and the confirmation was there, his invitation had been delivered and replied to. She promised to meet him at the designated time and place tomorrow. Ahem breathed a sigh of relief but then felt his chest tighten and his breathing became difficult. His mother wouldn't be happy with his deception.
It was Saturday, tonight would be the night, he felt like a child, he could barely contain his excitement and his nervousness showed more as the day progressed, as dinner time drew closer his mother had taken as much as she could. "Ahem Dikra, are you unwell!" she exclaimed, "If not then why are you behaving in such a way!" she demanded, Ahem was about to explode, he couldn't keep this from her any longer; he couldn't keep it from any of them. "Mom . . ." he began but was interrupted by Kokila "Oh Bhagwan!" whispered Kokila, shocked, a tear had begun to roll down her face. Ahem turned, she was here and she looked as beautiful as ever, Ahem approached her, he took her hands in his and spoke softly to her. The other members of the family were standing staring at the doorway shocked, they couldn't hear what Ahem was saying to her but they saw her nod and then watched as Ahem leaned forward, he pulled her closer to him and gently kisses her on the lips. The family were stunned, they had tears in their eyes, Hetal and Kokila were hugging themselves, Chirag, Parag and Jiggar were just staring, even Rashi was mesmerised. "Everyone Gopi has agreed to be my wife, again!" said Ahem, brimming with a smile so wide it touched the corners of his eyes and those eyes were staring at Gopi with adoration, devotion and most importantly love.
Ahem recounted what he had arranged leading up to this moment and openly spoke about his feeling for Gopi and when he realised that she was the one for him. He enlisted everyone's help in getting Gopi's room ready for them whilst he took Gopi back to the colony to get her things.

Gopi had enjoyed her first true night as a wife and had awoken early she had watched Ahem sleep, she was about to leave the bed when his arm reached out and grabbed her he pulled her close to him and hugging her whispered "Don't ever leave me".
Happy Valentine's Day
