Random Musings: February 11, 2011

Episode started with Devyani and Uttara seeing Brahma and hiding. Predictably, Devyani makes an excuse for his being there but Uttara did not look very convinced to me. I doubt the writers are going to have Uttara be suspicious right away but am positive that when she learns the truth about SasurPig in the future, she will be shown recalling this. Uttara's hesitation outside her house was poignant to watch. I loved hearing her character reflect that things will likely not be the same again. Such a betrayal is life altering. She cannot be shown behaving like things are back to normal now. Even without the benefit of her thoughts later in the episode that provided an explanation, Uttara's not wanting to share Devyani's role in the night's events with Rishabh also made perfect sense. Such flawless screenplay work that makes a viewer know exactly why a character behaves a certain way without every answer being spoon-fed is a credit to the writers of this show who have maintained the integrity of their initial sketch of all the characters through out! 👍🏼

As Uttara enters her house and hands over Rastogi's check, Rishabh's joy knows no bounds. Kamya emoted Uttara's feelings in this sequence beautifully! Watch her expressions closely to see how in the midst of the horror of the evening sinking in, there is quick smile initially as she observes Rishabh's excitement. While Devyani's crying on her way back home was logical, the execution was terrible. Devyani was supposed to be driving but her shots did not even remotely look like she was.

At the Jhaakar residence, a returning Brahma notices Gaurav sitting by himself and passes a pointed comment about respectable men being with their wives in their rooms at that time of the night. The confrontation between the two revealed, yet again, the deep seated roots to the dynamics of their relationship. But that was not the reason for this scene being added to today's screenplay...it was another push, a major one, to get Gaurav to impregnate Vidya. It also validates the feeling I had after the Devyani - Gaurav scene a few days ago that did not mention the "vaaris" word but clearly felt like a foundation setting scene for the baby track. Now...Gaurav has repeatedly told Vidya he "cannot" give her what she wants. This combined with Brahma's taunts in today's episode makes it seem like the "what is Gaurav's secret" debate is tilting towards the "Gaurav is gay" plot. What other reason could there be for Gaurav's stated inability to consummate his marriage? But...the story lover in me gets suspicious when too many hints are given pointing the viewer/reader towards a conclusion...classic misdirection technique. That said, irrespective of when this truth is revealed and what it is, Vidya's pregnancy will be part of the story track. I also don't think the truth revelation will get dragged out much longer...it feels like it's going to be the next story peak.

As Brahma and Gaurav storm off to stew in their rooms, Brahma vents his anger on Devyani and blames her for what he views as Gaurav's insolence. Both scenes, Gaurav in his room and Brahma shouting at Devyani, were well done! I expect Devyani is going to feel pressured by Brahma's abuse to use Gaurav's words from earlier in the day to demand a grand-child. 🤔 Poor Vidya!

Back at Rishabh's, Uttara is wondering whether to let Rishabh know that nothing happened with Rastogi and Devyani's role in it. But knowing how Rishabh would react, she decides not to. This scene was a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, Uttara's handing Rishabh his clothes normally like everything was just the same between them did not work for me. I guess it is the subconscious abuse victim mentality of trying to pretend everything was alright but considering Uttara's own apprehensions before returning home, the sudden volte-face was hard to swallow! One the other side of the spectrum, Rishabh's imagination about what could have happened in the hotel that night was spot on characterization and well done! A physically abusive person is typically very possessive about the victim, as Rishabh has been in the past. The thought that Uttara slept with Rastogi is going to bother him so much that at some point I expect that he will blame her for it and maybe even abuse her thus leading to Uttara's fighting back!

Finally, Aditya getting his way and bringing Chinu home while Mr. Pradhan was going to be in Ghaziabad, was a filler scene. Mr. Pradhan's "Brahma jhaap" was a bit more bearable today due to the small dosage. At the Jhaakars, Devyani's asking Jaggi to take care of Imli was odd...Imli's behavior today was no different than her normal caricature-like characterization! 😳

Overall: Filler episode but very well done! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ from me. Kamya was once again a treat to watch! 👏 I also loved the new flute-based background score that was used when Devyani and Uttara were sitting in the car outside Rishabh's place.

Starting with the Continuation of yesterday's scene, why did devyani hide from brahma?? and did she knew y brahma was there??(coz later in the car she was crying😕) Uff such a courageous women😊 And that creep rishab i thought he would hug uttara and ask for forgiveness, but this guy is beyond limits rather then thanking her he starts day dreaming, i curse him(hope in the drama he never gets success in his life) and may uttara get all the succes and happiness😊 the lyrics of the song that played today on dev-uttara were awesome..!😊
For the first time gaurav ROCKS..!!!!!!!😃 kya solid jawab diya hai brahma ko😆!! and how kamina brahma is..!! his duty is to protect people and he is telling it to gaurav, but he was sleeping with a lady😡😆 And *claps* for gaurav finally he said something to brahma.. And what did brahma mean by AJ TAK, didnt he recently got married???😕 And is vidya a bhoot, she never sleeps but always spy on gaurav😕
Brahma lies to devyani hmm, CREEP!😆 He is so angry on gaurav😆, but i felt so good... kisse ne toh band bajai uski😃 Brahma doesn't even know how to talk, how come women get close to him?? any strong women should have slapped him right there when he talks like that 😡
Rishab thinks that uttara slept with rastogi and feels awkward😕, wasn't he the one to send her and how soon he realized it😆 good to see uttara smile again in this scene after such a long time😊
I have no words to describe that how much i hate yellow color, but it looks so good on priya, this was the best look of her, yellow suits her alot⭐️ Coming back to the my adi, his dhamkis are over the top😆 Chinu also lands up in the jhakkar house, i so can't for 14th feb episode, as the precap looks amazing to me, i'm double minded on if priya should tell or not.. i so want a suhaag raat of them before the bomb blast😆
Overall not a very good episode, average rating from my side 3/5.
Daily i give credit to this women, but can't help it she forces me to do so, so hats off kamya punjabi👏⭐️ You are doing a splendid job, God bless you...!

Episode starts with Uttara and Devyani being confused at why SSP is at the hotel...SSP still on the mobile...Devyani covers for him make up some excuse regarding his job bringing him to such places...I'm not sure if Devyani is right in sending Uttara back or not but I do know that she is trying to do the best for her sister. I feel so bad for Uttara when she says that it feels like she is not going to her own house but to see some "anjaan admeey"...I do agree with Devyani regarding her comments about Rishab and he may eventually feel guilty for what he made his wife do
