mona is actually smart even though her mother in-law thinks otherwise.the girl arranged a romantic dinner,made her sister and husband dance rather than quarrel.what say u guys.

I don't think Mona is stupid. But I am wondering about Sweety and Parmeet. How could they have simply walked out of Mona's house and not bothered to close the door?

I agree Mona is not stupid, she did a good job of decoration. I do not think ambaji would be able to match it. I am not sure about Sweetie who left the door open.

Mona takes lot of abuse for all the women in the family and keeps her mouth shut..most girls wouldn't be able to do this and neither they should..there will be fights in the house.

Mona's character is very submissive and trying to please even though she is abused and insulted on daily basis. The women in the house hate her and she lives under such hostility.

She is told to forget her Punjabi background and not allowed to visit her parents house..the whole thing is gut wrenching how women are treated in India, it is as if all women get some perverse satisfaction is abusing the bahu ..
