Grover, who is an avid follower of several American sitcoms, feels that adapting some of them will help garner viewership of younger audiences. And the young actor has several creative ideas of his own.
Importing concepts
"I think we can make a great Indian version of the show Heroes. Their mythology is heavily lifted from ours," he says, adding, "One can fly, another can see the future. When you think of Hanuman and Shiva, you realise that Indians have been doing this for ages. We just don't manage to project it well for some reason."
Referring to the current situation as 'creative bankruptcy', the Nach Baliye 3 participant says, "Earlier these problems didn't exist because there was more time spent on creating one single episode. I act in daily soaps and I love them, but in many cases, the content is compromised upon."
New age Mahabharata?
A huge fan of the Lord of The Rings trilogy, Grover is excited by the thought of using its format to recreate the Mahabharata on screen.
He explains, "Imagine Abhimanyu as Frodo Baggins and a 15-feet tall Bhim. Think about it, if he can lift an elephant and throw it, he cant be only six-feet tall!" The actor's only grouse is that producers think their audiences 'wont understand'.
"My 'dadi' (grandmother) saw Smita Patil's films and she loved Nukkad, which was sensible. She still watches TV, but wonders what is going on. The audience hasn't changed, they understand everything!"

Tiwary's look is a huge contrast to the role he has portrayed on the show so far. He even fashions a goatee and the complete out-of-bed hair look for a lot of scenes. Sources from the set reveal that he has taken a lot of personal interest in creating his new look, his punch lines and is literally living the character.
Adds Grover, "The look for Ranchod Tiwary is very different from what they have ever seen me as. It is a big surprise for my fans and I hope they love and accept Ranchod just as much as they liked Karan."
