thats true i will not engage in it myself because i know the consiquences and that too because i m educated! but in india, this serial caters to many young ones who have minimum education levels. even maids and their children watch it. how do u expect them to understand? media influences pple.... especially uneducated pple! even if we accept that media bears no influence of pple's lifes, y must she encourage this ?

I'm sure that people have brains, just because Ekat glorifies premarital sex, shouldn't mean that it is right for everyone.

The reason why premarital sex is a big issue is because parents need to talk to their kids about these things. There is lack of education regarding these issues.

I don't think that we should blame Ekta for it. She just makes shows, she doesn't direct our lives.

We do that. Whatching TV is an option. If the parents teach their kids from the very beginning what's right and wrong, they why does it matter?

If my child did something wrong because of a show on TV, as opposed to following my upbrining, then the director is not at fault, the fault lies in me as a parent.

ok i suppose ive been brought up in a completely different society and country to many of you, thats probably what creates the difference in views. I see this kind of thing everyday and know people who angage in such behaviour and it doesnt influence me or my beliefs. Maybe in India their are people who know very little about the consequences, but that does not mean that after watching a show on TV they will do it themselves, life doesnt work like that!!! Media does not influence anyone to such an extent whether they are educated or uneducated, it depends on the individuals views not anyone elses!!! I think you are giving the media more importance than what it deserves!!!

we see numerous things portrayed through our TV screens, such as murder, violence, suicide etc but that does not mean we will also do the same educated or not!!!
