I am a big follower of Apprentice & that is why I was looking forward to Business Baazigar (BB). As far as the conceptualization is concerned, I think it's a great idea. First task was interesting, & the way multiple cameras were used to portray the confusion & last minute work by the teams was great.

What I found lacking though was the way teams were evaluated, or the way it is communicated. Apprentice at the end of the day is Donald Trump's show. One listens to his comments during the show, & one waits for his boardroom discussion & his decision. I agree that might not be possible, as BB is not looking to hire the winner for a job. But at the same time, the judgment or the conclusion of the show does not leave an impact.

The compere could have been more dynamic than Cyrus, Subhash Chandra does not have that X factor to convey the conclusion. Agreed this show is not intended to be as aggressive as Apprentice (Sony's Vijay Mallaya show would be accomplishing that virtue/vice), but they need more life in the program.

In the end, Zee also needs to convey what exact qualities they are looking for in a candidate if they want their program to reach mass audience. I am not sure if the non-business people would instantly recognize the attributes needed to run an entrepreneurial enterprise. The contestants & their ideas are great, Zee on-screen team is not…

I agree with you for the most part in that some of the aspects of it are a bit lackluster. For instance, the boardroom could be a bit more dynamic. On the Apprentice, the boardroom is probably the funnest part to watch b/c Mr. Trump specifically questions those people who didn't do what they were supposed to in the task, and the fights are fun to watch too 😃 I feel that Subash Chandra is a bit too passive in the boardroom...giving either a congrats letter or a plane ticket in an envelope reduces the interaction and it would be a lot more fun as well as more beneficial to the candidates if they get exactly what they did wrong.

However, I don't think the Apprentice is owned by an internationally known format (i.e. Endemol/Freemantle, as in the case of DYND, Indian Idol, Fear Factor, etc.),so BB is not really an "indian apprentice" b/c it's not a true copy of it, but it's inspired by it....

I hope it gets more exciting in the coming weeks...the first task was ok..

As we all know that Business Baazigaar was brought to outshine the indian apprentice so they cannot have the same concept as the board room being the place where the action all happens. When looking at it from a 50,000 feet almost everything seems similiar to the Apprentice so I am sure that they are intentionally have subhash be nice and focus is not on him like its on the Donald. They are claiming this to be a orginial show and concept which means that they have to watch out for Mark Burnett/Donald Trump suing them for using anything that is copyrighted to be thiers.

I think they could have focus more on the participants ideas as that is the key difference. Getting Cyrus ot not compere but maybe take an interview with those candidates who are eliminated could add more zing to the show.
