TNN, Jan 29, 2011, 12.00am ISTHowever, what catches our attention is that Shailesh isn't the the kind to stick to the rule books. He prefers being spontaneous with his audience than being methodical.
"I simply don't like rehearsed lines as I love spontaneity. Humour is all about spontaneity, not design", he says. He excels in interacting with his audience by encouraging them to ask questions and regales them with his instantaneous witty answers. His interactive shows, being very popular in abroad, are a rage in India too. Ask Shailesh how he manages and he says, "I don't put extra effort, I just be natural and I am glad that it works!"
Even in front of camera, he runs away from tele prompters. With the roll of the camera, his mouth doles out words in plenty. During his Wah Wah days he never had a script and hosted the popular poetry show for more than two years. "I remember sometimes it used to be very funny when script was different and I would come with a impromptu line that would leave my partner dazed," he laughs.
