Outside the house Abhay and Sid get to the point. There was a reason why despite keeping an open mind they just didn't like each other. Sid had to know what was going on? Abhay was pensively waiting for Sids lash out or whatever emotion he was feeling. He felt sorry for him. After all Abhay had set off Sid's curse. The night he save Piya and Sheila from drowning in the forbidden river. Now Sid would pay the price. He was no longer an average joe but he was meta-morphing into a werewolf. Abhay felt obliged to help the transformation phase and make it as pain free as possible. Who was he kidding? It was anything but pain free. It was only just the beginning of what Sid would have to endure. Abhay was relieved he didn't have to go through this every time the full moon was present.
Sid blurt out with it a little too aggressively-"Who the hell are U man? I've been getting this vibe off of U ever since i met U. Look just give me a few moments! I don't even know how to say this without offending U. Sorry for being so blunt."
Abhay cautiously looked into Sid's eyes noting a hint of fear-"its ok. I can't guarantee U anything but what U ask i will try not to take to heart. Just give me the low down!"
Sid tries to measure Abhay up-"So are U always this broody or is it a trait in your family? Sorry that just came out. I get like that when i'm anxious. So U and Piya are a couple? It just seems so fast. You've been together a few months right? Misha's told me a lot about Piya and her boyfriend on e-mails. She has a lot to say but i wanna thank U for helping Panchi out of a rut! I wish i was there to beat the guy to a pulp! U went beyond the call of duty."
Abhay softened his stance-"She's family man and i protect my family but this isn't what U brought me out to say is it? There's something troubling U. U have doubts about me and who i am. U might as well just say your piece. Might lighten the load."
Sid spat at-"For some reason i don't like U man. I don't like the fact that Piya is so well close to U that she can't even go a single day without Seeing U. Piya is my U can say she's related. My family have all warmed up to U but i just can't. I don't get it. Why i feel so angry at U? I don't know why but there's this instant barricade between us. I get this strange scent around U and it's not pretty. Damn i don't even know what's going on with me."
Abhay calmly and rationally tried to ease Sid-"Touch my friend. The feeling is mutual U don't smell so good for me either so I can say the same for U mate. But as Piya's brother i will show respect to U and hope U will show me the same. I can say we aren't supposed to gel. Our people are well guarded against your people. We are both outsiders looking in. I'm not sure if this is wise for me to even talk to U about this yet. U are still getting to grips with the changes right?"
Sid interested by Abhay's wit-"U know about Piya? (Shocked at Abhay's insight)What do U know about my issues? I haven't told anyone about them apart from Dad."
Abhay adds-"U need to keep all of this a secret. There are people and then those who have unearthly powers. To U and I this is a curse depending on your perspective. This change U are going isn't natural but more supernatural. I am speaking to U in riddles i get it but if i told U the truth U probably wouldn't believe me unless U were going through it and trust me then you'd see what all this is. What do U know about the folklore in this town? Have U ever read about them or been told stories?"
Sid puzzled by Abhay's question-"Folklore? They are just stories made to make us behave and feed the crazies round here."
Abhay replied-"What if i were to tell U my family hail from a line of witches?"
Sid cracked-"That's just preposterous! Its ridiculous!"
Abhay held his face straight-"Do i look like i'm joking? Piya has already seen the trio in action. U know the girl U seem to make a beeline for Lexie is the most powerful girl U could ever meet. Now the reason i'm telling U this is that Piya won't lie if U ask her and neither will the trio. They can even show U a demonstration if it keeps your mind at rest. No special effects in this just pure power. They can help U Sid. With what U are facing going to the doctor won't suffice because they won't be able to give U the answers."
Sid wide-eyed-"Why did i bother asking?"
Abhay truthfully said-"U are desperately seeking answers with nobody to give them to U. U don't like me yet U can see something strange, feel in your instincts i'm not who i am, the trio of witches in there are good people U know that too. Just like U knew from the scent of Piya that she was a Dobrial. Trust your instincts they are pretty much one thing U can rely on."
Sid asked-"So if U know i don't like U then why are U helping me?"
Abhay chimed in-"I'm not meant to like U doesn't mean i hate U. As Piya's brother U are like family. I love those Piya holds dear to her. I'm helping U out of good will and because U are running out of time. Just a matter of a few weeks then the real work begins. It will test out your endurance level."
Sid tries to pry more answers finding it unbelievable. These things didn't exist but his symptoms were like no other. Abhay seemed to have answers to his dilemma-"Then what am i going through?"
Abhay continues-"I don't have time to explain. The answers U seek are right under your nose. Check the study. In your father's cabinet is where he keeps the book on what U seek. We should really do this somewhere away from here but i have Piya to worry about. Believe it or not we are joined by the hip (Abhay laughs). We need to discuss this with the group. I'm sorry i can't help U but we can ease the ache that will kick in. On Piya being your sister she doesn't know this Sid. All she knows is her mother kicked her father out due to his double life. I won't have Piya hurt. She'll find out in good time. Oh another thing don't mess with Lexie! She's not your kind of girl. If U know what i mean."
Abhay rushes back insto the Dobrial mansion leaving a bewildered Sid behind. He only wanted to give Abhay the 4 by 4 making sure Piya was treated well and how serious they were as a couple but came out with more than he bargained for. Sid scratched his head out of irritation. He had to give Abhay credit. He deserved it. He wasn't exactly the easiest of men to get to know these days. He snapped at people at the drop of a hat for no reason. But to his delight and annoyance Abhay didn't give him any reason to get into a fight. Abhay was unruffled by Sid's behaviour. He wasn't convinced with Abhay's answer but Abhay may have a point. See this through. Sid liked the idea of spending some time with Lexie after all he had to check out if this whole thing about her family gifted with magic were true. Sid had to laugh at even contemplating any of this as being true was a joke. He'd play ball just for Lexie. Abhay had warned him not to mess with Lexie but this made him even more determined to get to know this witch who'd already made a mark on him.
Dobrial Mansion
Abhay rejoined Piya where Misha, Panchi, Angad, Kabir, Tracker, Lexie, Lux and Pari were already present. Misha had a little cheeky game up her sleeve just for Abhay and Piya in particular with a tennis ball. She'd already designated the gang into groups of two. The game was simple. Don't drop the ball. They had to roll the ball all the way around their partner using any part of their head but the ball had to move freely all the way around. Last person to keep the ball on their partner was the winner and they'd win a treat courtesy od her father Arnav. They were just tickets to see a rockband. The only thing was the whole group would be winners as they were all going. But she didn't need to tell that to anyone.
Couples were 1.Abhay with Piya, 2.Lexie with Kabir, 3.Pari with Sidharth, 4.Angad with Tracker, Panchi and Misha weren't part of this as they were the judges While Lux was too cool to play game. He didn't want to give Misha any ammunition. She was playing it a little too smart a game. Misha wasn't comfortable with this game. She had an image to maintain. Her rep was in question. Hell would freeze before she gave a guy this power over her. Although she was curious how Lux would be with her.
The music begins with Britney track "Hold it against me." Tracker and Angad are the first couple who are out due to Angad's forgetfulness of the rules. He kept on using his hands so was disqualified after dropping the ball a few times. He couldn't help it every time Tracker looked at him he weak in the knees. She rocked his world. If only she'd notice. No she was too busy checking all the buff men she called them at Uni.Pari wasn't feeling like playing with Sid specially with a ll the complications in this family. She was too stressed out to have fun. Plus she wasn't comfortable with Sid anyway. He kinda scared her. So they were pretty much out of the running. Lexie with Kabir were on fire. She liked Kabir a lot but didn't know how much she liked him. While Kabir was having fun with Lexie. He liked her but he also knew she was out of his league. He didn't think he stood a chance with her. Both were in the moment. Kabir enjoyed the close proximity it was an excuse for him to be with Lexie. Kabir managed to keep the flow but struggled when the ball flipped over the other side.
Panchi and Misha had bets riding. Panchi bet on Kabir winning as he had a huge crsh on Lexie. He would surely win while Misha had her money on Abhay he was a dark horse and he'd never let Piya down.
Misha revelling with glee-"U wait and watch big sis Abhay will trump in glory over Kabir. Money is as good as mine."
Panchi adamant Kabir will bring it-"Hey U have a months freedom riding on this. Kabir is trying to impress Lexie. If i know Kabir well he won't give up."
Misha rolls her eyes showing her tongue at Panchi-"Well U haven't seen Abhay in action so there."
Panchi saw Misha look Lux's way Misha realized what was going on. She told Lux off for staring at her and to keep his on the competition.
Abhay watched the two with the corner of his eyes.He saw a hint of jealousy arouse in Sid. He had to do somethink about his emotions. Lexie wouldn't be thrilled by this at all. Abhay drew his attention back in his game. Abhay and Piya had this game in the bag. His fast reflexes allowed him to be lax. He'd recover any mistakes he made. Piya had this effect on him. everywhere he touched her felt static. His time with Piya was never dull. She was his ray of sun that glew in the most darkest moments of his life. For Piya it was more of an intimate game. She savoured this closeness with Abhay blushing when he'd used his head to push the ball around Piya's tummy then using his nose to move it around Piya's back until he slowly moved the ball around towards Piya's neck. Abhay enjoyed Piya's rosy cheeks. It made her seem more radiant. Piya was feeling the sensation Abhay gave her wherever he touched her. She could tell Abhay was at his best with this game. Abhay let the ball drop down Piya's arm. Repeating the process again this time Abhay took his time until Lexie and Kabir were out. Abhay continued on until the ball was close to Piya's chest. He dropped the ball and gave Piya a little kiss on the lips making her go scarlet.
Misha and Panchi announced the winner-"So i think we have a clear winner Abhay and Piya. There U go free tickets to see Muse with the Skillet's supporting them in a joint act."
Piya's frowned at Misha-"Hey that's your favourite band right The Skillet's?"
Misha smiled mischieviously-"Hey don't knock it till you've heard them. They will blow your brains out."
Piya grinned teasing Misha-"Yeah with all the screaming and shouting. And that loud music Misha it's not music."
Panchi warned Piya-"Don't complain Piya or else she'll eat your brains out with all her rock collection."
Lexie blew Mishas cover laughing-"It's not really a prize is it Mish? We are all going as her Dad wanted us to have fun but Misha thought she'd use it as her competition. Kill two birds with a stone. So we are all winners right. Except Misha's made money out of poor Panchi. Lux didn't warn Panchi about Abhay being gifted with super reflexes."
Lux made an apologetic frown towards Panchi-"She asked earlier about Abhay's stats."
Panchi beamed-"No wonder Misha was so confident. Well its my treat anyway. I'm happy i don't care if i've lost the best with my naughty sister. This has been fun."
Madhoo arrives back to clear away some of the plates bringing in some refreshments. Madhoo saw how close the girls were as her eyes filled up with tears of guilt for keeping Piya as an outsider in her own family. Yes they were friends but blood ran deep in her veins. The Dobrial blood. Misha, Panchi were fond of Piya as if she were their own sister. Sid was watching his Mom and knew that his Mom had an inkling on who Piya really was. He sensed it from the moment Piya entered the house tonight. He could see how painful it was to see Piya but he also knew what lengths she'd go through to protect her kids from pain. He just wanted her to accept Piya. After all she'd done Piya had already proved it by protecting Panchi from Danish. That too without knowing they are blood related. Sid moved towards his mother giving her a hug.
Sid sympathetically gives his Mom reassurance-"Everything will be Ok Mom. Trust in our family's strength to survive. We've been through tougher challenges before. I can see it in your eyes the fear. The worry but its invain. Piya isn't a threat. I know U know Mom. Its the very reason why i left all those years ago but don't take it out on her. She doesn't deserve it. Hasn't she suffered enough? All alone in this world when she has family. U are causing more pain by excluding her. And for what? Insecurities. I know U better than U want to admit to yourself. Dad will be annoyed with U if he knew U kept this from him not that i care for him but its U i'm concerned about."
Madhoo bites her lips-"I wish it was this simple son. I did something dreadful in the past. Even U will never forgive me son. I got to go."
Madhoo thought about the flashback on her crime. Madhoo was the one who took Piya and left her at the orphanage in fear of Arnab showering more affection to her than her children to make up for Piya's mother being no more. The guilt ate her up for not fulfilling Sugandhs dying wish. No nobody would ever forgive her for this. It was a secret tshe had to take to her grave. Madhoo apologized in her head to Piya for creating all this loneliness in her life.
The police station
A mysterious woman walks into the police station asking to bail out Danish. She looked directly into the policeman's eyes mesmerising him rend less to release Danish out of jail. She had her own game plan to lure Abhay out and finish off this woman in his life. Such a waste but it had to be done. Poor Piya had to die. It was her fate. How many more times must she suffer the same fate? Hey it gave her the thrill to torture Abhay. What a play on names. She preferred Abhay than Abhimanyu. It sounded more current. Piya was so cute good enough to eat. She looked nothing like her past lives. Then again she didn't know how Maithali looked but from the pictures she'd seen Abhay draw of her she more or less looked the same. Abhay was one lucky guy falling for the same girl over and over again. How did he manage to keep the emotions intact for each of Maithali's life. She'd wished she ended Maithali's life but took pleasure in knowing Abhay had finished the job. It was fun making Sophia go crazy but Piya was on the ball. Danish was going to play one important role in ruining Abhay's life. He was going to help her kill Piya and destroy Abhay's family one by one. If he thought for one minute she was scared of those pesky witches he had another thing coming. She'd spent a day inspecting the group dynamics. There were chinks in Abhay's armour. Lux was the weakest link but her craft mind had worked out how to eliminate her foes. She had to create her own minion of her own if she wanted a chance to get close to Piya. This was so exciting.
Abhay was one hard man to follow around. The link between her and Abhay was weakened. How on earth did Abhay gain so much power without spilling a drop of human blood? It wasn't the witches helping him. There was something but Maya knew she was more powerful. Abhay lived a life of a hermit but this Piya had brought him out. She'd hated Piya from the first moment she'd set eyes on her. Maya cackled at the memory of fear in Piya's eyes. Maya thrived in it. Well Abhay U have one shock instore for U and this time Maya wouldn't make Piya go insane like she did in her previous life. No she'd make sure her family and friends suffer. Then play with Piya a while until she stops coming back. Maya found eternity boring without anyone to toy with. Maya took Danish to one side of the jungle stopping her car abruptly in the middle of the night. Maya wasn't keen on Danish he was a creep even for a vampire but this was what would make him perfect for the job. He already had his screws loose. Maya could see he had no soul. The perfect predator. He hated Piya. Another plus.
Maya bore her fangs out and smiled with gusto taking in Danish's fear. Boys will be boys. Danish had no chance against her strength and bit into his wrists taking in the warm blood as it trckled down her throat quenching a thirst she'd never tire of. Danish's resistance was futile as he kicked his legs and tried to puch Maya with his free fist only to miss. She continued to darin him until he was near death. His blood tasted mediocre. She'd seen images of his life flash through her. Panchi was the girl he'd done the dirty on. Interesting maybe this one as dull as she was could be in use to her. Luring Piya wouldn't be so hard. Danish stopped fighting back. By now he was on the verge of no return. Maya gave Danish a blood transfer and then buried him with her bare hands in the ground. Now all she had to do was bide her time and terrorize Piya. Life was so much fun again.
