It was a few days later when Sid decided he'd search through all of Arnabs books In the study. This could only be done with Arnab away on business. The man was infuriating the hell out of him these days. Actually Sid found he had a short fuse for almost anything. Even his siste was grating on him with her feelings for Laxman. He hated the name Lux but didn't want to cause conflict due to his own interest in Lexie. Sid rampantly searched for the book on the supernatural. He just wished Abhay could have given him a title to work with. Sid was just grateful Abhay had given him some information on what was wrong with him. Sid had gone through all the motions and knew he was running out of time. Controlling his temper was one problem he knew would be his downfall. Every day was getting worse. He avoided conversations with Arnab due to the fragile state it was already in. He was worried he'd slip up. Sid wanted to keep his broken family getting along. He was pi**ed off at his mother as it was for keeping Piya a dirty little secret because she wasn't that. She was his sister. He'd do what he had to for her. He'd do anything for his sisters and if Misha and Panchi were ever treated as outsiders he'd rip someones head off. In this case it was his mother. God knew how much he bit his tongue with her. Sid's mom was still in her own mode keep Piya as far away from her perfect little world only she didn't know that her perfect world was going to crumble. He went behind her back and made an anonymous call to one of the lawyer friends with Piya's details as a child in the orphanage. As much as he wanted Piya in his life he wasn't going to hand Arnab his daughter so easily. He wanted him to work for it. Arnab did the dirty on his mother by cheating on her come to think of it he did the same with Piya's Mom the least Arnab could do is trace his daughter. This way his mother Madhoo would be in the clear. He knew this was wrong but he didn't want to dob his mother no matter what her flaws were she was still his mother. Sid brought his mind back on to the goal ahead finding that stupid book on the supernatural. He'd been through all the bottom shelves then voila a few books on Dehradun's mystics. There were two. One about Darkness. The other was on Demons and Monsters. He flicked through the First book. Not much in there but a few locations where the hot spots were. The jungle mainly. Hmmmmm. There was a mention of two tribes. One which was wiped out centuries ago by a vampire. It sounded like some crazy person had written it. He flicked towards the end. There is a river where vampires are forbidden to trespass or it will awaken the beasts of the night triggering a curse. That part sent shivers down Sid's spine. Sid placed the book down he then went on to the second book. Now this book on Demons and Monsters was pretty old. It was tatty. Overused and smelt musty. He began reading it page by page as it was interesting and graphic. Now this one had him hooked with details on each beast. Again it had mentioned vampires in shudh hindi. Good job his father was a freak in this stuff he'd learnt this to please him eons ago. So the book mentioned vampires being among the living sucking people dry to survive and blah blah blah. Then one vamp was caught playing with a local girl. He was tortured till he snapped and finished everyone including the woman he's supposedly loved. He spared the girls father who wrote this book. Hmmmmmm Ok. Then an ancestor of theRiyal family was cursed for allowing such a thing to get away with all this bloodshed. If the same vampire were to come then a member from this family would be automatically cursed to avenge history repeating itself. Werewolves. On the full moon the curse will be activated for good. Is this what Abhay wanted him to find? It made no sense. Sid continued reading all the way to the end. Signs symptoms all of it but were there other werewolves? No info. According to the book this curse was never triggered before. So what was he the trial run? No this was all rubbish! It didn't say anything on how to cure such a thing. Abhay wasn't pulling his leg was he? What to do now was the question. His patience was running low. He wanted to smash something. The end of the book said something on the enmity vampires and werewolves shared with the other. Their hatred for the other species. Their repulsion.

Abhay at Kabir's with his wiccan brood

Abhay relayed the whole thing to the trio. Lexie had picked up on some thing being off with Sid but her priorities lied with keeping Piya safe. She was with Misha and Kabir playing a game of pool. Misha was whooping Kabir big time. Lexie couldn't help but smile at seeing Kabir playing it cool. She read his mind. He so wanted her but was he over Piya? She knew he was but it still felt weird. Poor Sid going through this alone. He was probably going out of his mind. Sid and Abhay would be sworn enemies. It was inbuilt in their nature. They were programmed to kill the other. One bite was all it took. She wanted Abhay away from Sid.

Lexie in her serious tone-"Abhay i want U as far away from Sid as possible. I'm not risking U being hurt. Piya needs U. We need U."

Pari agreed-"Lexie's right! We can handle Sid on our own. He's not a threat to us. He's a threat to U and in wolf form who know's what he's capable of."

Abhay refused to back down with his sombre face-"It's my fault this happened i'm not letting him face it alone."

Pari calms Abhay with a gentle mind blast-"He won't be alone. Lexie will call him up. He likes her. He'll trust her."

Lux stamps his feet in an angry mode shouting-"Aa haa no way is my sister going to help that fool. She will not be in the same room as him. i saw him checking U out sis! He's not going to be anywhere near U and that's final."

Pari shushes him-"Calm down.We were just suggesting how to help Sid. We are all going to be there. Only Lexie is going to lead us as Sid trusts her."

Lux's eyes still dark-"I don't like it. Any of it. Abhay i agree U stay away from Sid but his temper man is worse than mine. If he so much as snaps at U Lexie i'll kill him myself."

Abhay knew how protective Lux was of his sister-"I still think i can help him Lexie. Lux we won't let anyone hurt your sister. I'll see to it personally."

Lexie stroked her brothers hair with her hand smiling at him-"U know bro i wish you'd let me handle this my way. I know what i'm doing. If he tries it on i'll blast him like i power blast U. I'm a big girl. I can handle it."

Lux glares at her-"U aren't a guy. I know how they all think."

Lexie rolls her eyes sarcasticly-"Yeah i know that. Like i can get the images of your feelings towards Misha out of my head. That's the price i have to pay for being your twin bro. U don't have a problem with me hanging out with Kabir. He thinks like a guy too U know."

Lux counters-"Well he's my friend and U already know what i did to him." (About his mind reading on Kabir's intentions with Lexie. During those times he'd made sure that Kabir was serious about his sister. He wanted the best guy for Lexie. He already knew Lexie had a thing for Kabir.)

Lexie annoyed with his intrusion-"I get the big brother routine but U didn't need to check on Kabir."

Lux defends his actions-"It was for my own benefit. If i'm befriending the boy i wanna make sure he doesn't have ill thoughts of my sister. It goes against the brother code. Can we get back to Sid please. I'm not getting in a fight with U sis."

Lexie smiles-"We gotta do something. He needs help fast. The next week will be torture."

Abhay agrees nodding away combing his hair with his fingers-"We need to act fast. Don't forget we have Maya to contend with. She hasn't shown her face for a few days. She know we're on to her."

Pari didn't want to think about their old foe-"Don't remind us. She'll strike when we are least expecting it."

Lux complied-"More like when we are down, i can feel something is brewing up. The woma's deranged remember."

Lexie dials Sid's number from getting the number by probing Misha's mind. Phone rings. Sid picks up sounding frustrated-Hi U may not recognize the number. I wanted to invite U to Kabir's place. Misha and the gang are here. We wanted U to join us. U know to play a game of pool and well hang out. Show U magic maybe.

Sid croaked nervously-I don't know. I want to but i'm not the best person to be around right now.

Lexie tried to make Sid change his mind-I'll be frank. U want answers. We got them. Its up to U what U do? But the offers open If U wanna hang out. I know we can all help U through this Sid. For your own good U should join us.

Sid contemplated on what he should do? He wanted to spend time with Lexie-Fine. I'm on my way.

At the pool table Misha and Kabir are both still competing with the other with Kabir trailing way behind. Piya couldn't stop laughing at Kabir's discomfiture. He didn't like losing. Kabir was just glad Lexie wasn't there to watch his humiliation at the hands of a girl. Well technically speaking Misha was less of a girl and more of a boy. Piya glances over to the others and knew something was going on over there. She wasn't sure what it was but they were being discreet. Piya felt left out. She knew the witches were family had had a click going but Abhay being so secretive. He'd been trying to say something to her but the moment was never right. She'd heard Lux screaming at Lexie something about Sid or in relation to him. why were they all doing this. Over the few days since the party Piya's every move was scrutinized by the girls. A stalker type of woman Piya was freaked out by had Abhay on red alert. He wouldn't say why. These secrets were exasperating. She hated secrets. It was secrets that broke her childhood. What was so bad that Abhay and the others were keeping it from her. Hey she could handle any dark secret. She'd already accepted the witches and had a positive take that wiccan powers weren't evil. Kabir dragged Piya away from her thoughts.

Kabir gave in-"U know i think Misha is on a lucky streak today so i'm going to quite while i'm behind. Piya U want a game? U seem away with the fairies."

Piya shrugged taking all the balls in the triangle racking them jam packed-"No just thinking about the concert(She lied). I've never been to one before. I'm a little scared of Misha's band. She has posters of them and they appear scary as hell to me."

Kabir gave Piya a little hug-"U girls na! It will be fine a bunch of guys screaming their head off. A few fist fights. U know the usual. Don't worry Abhay will be there with U. He'll save U from the uglies?"

Misha moans at Kabir hitting him with a smack against his shoulder blades-"How many times have i told U not to poke fun at my bands. U don't know real music. U like girlie songs. Too used to dating bimbos. Don't think Lexie will be impressed by any of this. She's like me U know. Strong willed and has a brain unlike U."

Kabir retaliated back-"Hey don't question my intelligence. U flunked out of Uni just like me. U think Lux is into girls like U? He likes a girl with some substance U know. Someone who is smart!"

Piya giggled at the two squabbling like children-"U know both of U are as bad as the other."

Misha-"Her U are stupid! Take that back!"

Kabir-"U take it back first!"

Misha glares at Kabir-"No U!"

Kabir bounces back-"Hey if U are playing hard to get then it's the right tactic to scare a guy away."

Piya gave Kabir a stern look-"Kabir U are a sore loser and Misha U are just behaving like a baby. (Piya scold Kabir giving him advice) U want Lexie then try taking an interest in what she likes. She's not a girl who will be impressed by materialistic things so the gift U brought will only anger her. (Now facing Misha Piya softly adds) And U Misha like Lux a lot right then cut the guy some slack. He's not a player. He doesn't even know how to impress U. In case U haven't noticed who his family are. Abhay would rather have us just holding hands for a few years before we ever moved forwards. It took me to make the first move. Only then did he get the hint. Roll with the flow. I'm not telling The Two of U to throw yourself at them but just to give them a little clue that U are interested."

Misha reluctantly shakes her head no-"Let him get the upper hand. Misha doesn't do boys. I'm not following all those stupid girls chasing after a guy. No offense Piya its not me."

Piya warns-"Then don't come moaning to me when Lux is fed up of waiting for U coz guys like him never get the hint.He likes U a lot. He understands where U are coming from but don't paint guys that are into U with the same brush as Danish. He's not him Misha and U know what i know each member of their family and they are all good people. U couldn't get a better guy than Lux. Hes caring, protective and honest. What more do U want? Did i mention he's intelligent to boot."

Misha was taking this in-"Why are U vouching for him? has he paid U or something? Did he say something about me?"

Piya grins-"No. You'd be blind if U couldn't see he's head over heels in love with U but he's giving U time to get over your fears and insecurities. Men have insecurities too U know! Take Kabir for example he loves Lexie but he's worried she may not like him back. He's scared she'll hold his previous track record with girls against him but Kabir Lexie has good insight into people. She know U have genuine feelings for her but wants U to do something about it. I feel like your personal matchmakers U know. I need to smack both your heads together only then will the light bulb switch on inside that head of yours. "

Kabir watches Lexie over to the far room-"Piya how did U get so smart?"

Piya smiled-"U know Kabir U both make me look intelligent than i really am. U already have Lexie's brother on your side Kabir. He'll kill U if U messed his sister about."

Kabir graoned in memory of the brother-"Thanks for reminding me."

Piya smirked-"Anytime. He likes U Kabir. So treat Lexie with respect or you'll have me on your tail as well."

Misha was rethinking her game plan to consider Lux. Maybe she was being too safe-"U think he'll like it if i made the first move? Isn't it a little too foreward?"

Piya put her hands on her hip-"No! U might as well drop some hints in there. I can help U if U like?"

Misha knew Piya was right-"Fine but i'm scared"

Kabir chuckled-"The Mighty Misha has a flaw. She scares like the rest of us mere mortals."

Piya punched Kabir playfully-"Kabir! I'll be there to help U Ok."

Misha clicked her fingers with her eyes wide open-"We can all split up in pairs U know. In the concert. Perfect way to start a date. With thousands of other people there so no need to fear it being an intimate sort of date. We'll have the other to fall back on right?"

Piya moaned-"That's not a proper date!"

Misha grinned-"That's the point. No expectations. Better to have a safety net yaar. I won't even know how to react with him. Its the perfect scenario for us."

Kabir nods accordingly-"U are a genious Misha. First intelligent thing you've said. I'll be safe. Lux will see how good a boyfriend i can be to his sister. He'll give us his blessing. No discomfort. Everyone is happy."

Misha and Kabir give a high five-"Yeah wicked idea"

Kabir watches the others-"U know i'm thinking they are up to spmething. Have U noticed how all four are in there and we are left out here. What's with all the secrecy man. Are they thinking of burgling a bank?"

Misha answers-"No dumba** Abhay's rich! I think they are discussing us U know."

Kabir's eyes widen iW*H glee-"Ha that is possible after all we are talking about them."

Piya shouts over to Abhay-"What's going on?"

Abhay replies coolly-"Sid's on his way. We are going to chat about ethics and possible business ventures."

Piya is disappointed and flatly answers back-"U haven't spent any time with us. So boring! "

Abhay promised Piya he was all hers after they were done-"Just this to commit to then just Us. Ok."

Tara answers telepathically to the others-He's here.

Pari-We got to get rid of Misha, Piya and Kabir. They can't know what we can do. I know Piya's Ok but Misha and Kabir might get freaked out.

Abhay nodded-I'll go send them on a trip out for some supples.

Lux agrees-I'll go open the doors. Let Sid in.

Abhay meets up With Piya, Kabir and Misha. He knew he should try to fill Piya on all the events that had his clan wirried but Piya was scared enough as it was. He decided he might as well leave the trio to deal with Sid. He didn't want the others to be suspicious.

Abhay to the pool room-"We need to go out shopping. I'm making us a treat. Why don't we head out and lets Sid get to know Lexi and Pari. He's got something to learn. I'll let them know we are headed out."

Misha was unwilling to go-"But bro's coming i wanna stay."

Abhay told her-"He wants alone time with Lexie."

Kabir's face went down-"Then i'm not going."

Piya convinced Kabir-"She doesn't see him that way. All three have something for Sid. We are going to surprise him like a party for his arrival Ok U don't want to spoil it for Lexie do U?"

Kabir in a low tone-"No"

Abhay gave Piya a smile-"Thanks. We'd better go."
