IPL...New teams..New bussines...New Games...New thinking.....😊
Gambhir is sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for 2,400,000 USD. 2.4 million for Gambhir! 11.4 crore for the India opener!
650,000 USD for Dilshan, bought by Bangalore. A bit of a bargain if you ask me, I think he is definitely worth more.
Bangalore steals Zaheer Khan from Mumbai and Delhi. Zaheer sold for 900,000 to Bangalore! Prize catch! Last minute bid from Bangalore snares the left arm pacer.
Rajasthan Royals get Ross Taylor for exactly 1 million. Nicely done Rajasthan, Ross Taylor is a great T20 buy.
Yusuf Pathan, T20 specialist, is sold for 2.1 million to Kolkata! Just a shade under Gambhir's 2.4 million.
Pietersen sold to Deccan Chargers for 650,000. Not too much, very modest price.
Jayawardene sold to Kochi for 1.5 million
Mumbai and Deccan Chargers fight for Yuvraj, but Sahara Pune Warriors buys Yuvraj for Rs 8.16 crore
1.1 million for de Villiers. Bangalore with the buy
Still much more to go....👏

The most shocking was that no one put in a bid for Ganguly?! Isn't he supposed to be India's most successful cricket captain?

IPL is less cricket and more business. I dont understand how internationally acclaimed cricketers can stand up to such humility for the sake of money. They are really neither cattles nor commodities, are they? No other sport tolerates such an outrageous and humiliating system. And if business is the name of the game, then KKR made a very big mistake by not retaining Saurav Ganguly, as he surely is the best business proposition in Kolkata in spite of his so called 'old age'.Just as the viewers go to a film to watch their favorite hero, Kolkatans crowd at Eden Gardens to watch Dada play.It doesn't matter if another 'better' or younger hero is cast in the same film😊
Unsold players:-
Sourav Ganguly ($400,000)
Brian Lara ($400,000)
Chris Gayle ($400,000)

($400,000)
Luke Wright
($400,000)
Jesse Ryder
($100,000)
Herschelle Gibbs
($200,000)
Graham Manou ($50,000)
Matt Prior ($200,000)
Mark Boucher
($200,000)
Dilhara Fernando ($100,000)
Ajanta Mendis ($200,000)
Murali Kartik
($200,000)
Chamara Kapugedera

Tamim Iqbal ($100,000)

KKR is taking ganguly as a mentor if not as a player . Busines sense prevailed ultimately 😆 without ganguly the Kolkata crowd would have booed the KKR team

People really need to take their blinders off, Ganguly is done as a cricketer, We had similar idol worship in the times of Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar. It is very rare that a player like Sachin Tendulkar comes back like a pheonix like he has done in the last year.
KKR knew it would be a ratings bonanza if they buy him, but cricketing decisions overruled that and they did not choose him as a player
