This is a really interesting question. I deeply admire Karunya's singing, his finish, his control, his diction and his presentation. Yet I think that he lacks the deep baritone that Hemachandra has. This is why Alka Yagnik said had Sandeep has the better voice quality but Karunya should be the Indian Idol...(he is the better singer)
What one needs is a singer who has Hema's voice and sings like Karunya!
