Star Profile: Jennifer Winget

Whenever you hear the name of this beautiful actress Jennifer Winget, you will end up remembering her character Dr Riddhima Gupta from Star One's popular youth based show 'Dill Mill Gayye'. This sweet looking actress was born on 30^th May 1985.

We have first seen her on the small screen in the Balaji Telefilms show 'Koi Dil Main Hai', which was aired on Sony TV. Winget was only 17 then and the role was very minor one. Her first break on television came in the form of Star Plus' show 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', where she played Sneha Bajaj, daughter of the protagonist Prerna (played Shweta Tiwari).

This role gave Jennifer an identity of her own in the television industry. Following this, the actress went on appearing in the popular daily soaps from Balaji like 'Kkusum', 'Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa', 'Kahiin To Hoga'. But none of the above mentioned shows portrayed her as the main protagonist. Her first major achievement in the small screen was with Dr Riddhima's role in 'Dill Mill Gayye'. The youths were in their knees to get a glimpse of this television hottie. Her on-screen chemistry with co-star Karan Singh Grover was very sizzling and they really looked like made for each other couple.

However, apart from all these television shows, Jennifer Winget had her first appearance in the television with the kids show 'Shaka Laka Boom Boom'. She acted in that show as a child artist.

Jennifer was also seen showing her dancing moves in the reality show 'Zara Nachke Dikha'. In the second season of the show, she took on the stage again but as a host this time. All of you have must have seen her in some of the TV commercials like Johnson Johnson, Reynolds, Krack Cream, Manforce Condoms and many others. Her reality show journey continued with Sony TV's comedy show 'Teen Ka Tadka' and Star One's 'Laughter Ke Phatke'.

The 25 year old was also seen hosting the grand finale episode of Star Plus' 'Perfect Bride' along with Romit Raaj.

Jennifer was also seen trying her luck in Bollywood with the films like Kuch Naa Kahoand Akele Hum Akele Tum. However, she was seen in minor roles in these movies. She was also seen in the film Raja Ko Rani Se Pyaar Ho Gaya as a child actress. Her dream role in any film is Rani Mukerji's character in Black.

However, the actress has now no plan to go back to Bollywood as she is quite content with her success on television.
