Some quickies you must know
First break: Television
First shot: I was comfortable
First day of the shoot: I think I met everybodies' expectations
First dialogue: I don't remember!
First crush: When I was in school
First paycheque: I was paid Rs 5000/- That was when I was in Ahmedabad and I could survive the whole month with that amount!
If not an actor, what would you have been?
I would have been a sportsman. To be precise, I would have been a cricketer.
Your favourite actor…
It has to be Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh and Amitabh Bachchan. I like John Abraham too we were both contestants at Gladrags 1999. I really appreciate the effort he has put to be what he is today, it is a great metamorphosis.
Your favourite food and holiday destination.
I am a strict non-vegetarian! I love Continental food. I like cool places and love London.
Your concept of love
Love to me is the most beautiful thing in the world. There is a misconception that love only happens once! I feel it can happen as many times. Love can happen anywhere, anytime...
Do you believe in love at first sight?
I don't!
The story of Pyar Ke Do Naam... revolves around eternal love and rebirth. How true is rebirth?
I don't know. I have heard stories about it but I don't believe it.
How has life been since you started shooting for the show?
It has been very hectic. There is less time but I am enjoying every bit of it!
Where do you see yourself in a decade?
I have actually not given it a thought.
Your Qualification
I have completed my B Sc in Bio-Chemistry and MBA in marketing. I also took acting lessons at Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Course.
Why did you think you needed an acting course?
I went to the Kishore Namit Kapoor acting course as I think every model needs to go through it, it gives one a firm grounding.
Your first job
It was working in Gujrat Ambuja, for a while... But being an actor was my dream and I wanted to chase my dreams. So I contested in Gladrags. There is no correlation between what I studied and what I am doing right now! As I come from a Bengali family one needs to be academically strong.
Your role model
I never had a role model. Experience teaches you a lot...
Your sun sign
I am a Virgo.
Locations where Pyar Ke Do Naam was shot.
The haveli scenes were shot in Mumbai. The rest of the shoot was in a beautiful place called Wai, where the movie Swades was shot.
