Remake of a Tamil Serial (Brief Story)

This drama is a remake of a Tamil Drama called Idhayam and even the title character's name is the same like Dr Kalyani, Nandhini and Sumathi. In the tamil version, Nandhini gets married to Dr Kalyani's son who was supposed to marry Sumathi. So Nandhini enters the family and everyone likes her. One day, they find a baby with a letter at the entrance of the house saying this is her baby. No one believes it and even Nandhini cries and says its not her baby. A depressed Dr Kalyani calls Nandhini's sister and brother in law to clarify about this.They admit that Nandhini had given birth to a baby before where while she was on a college tour, she was given medicine and raped. She was under mental trauma and she gives birth to the baby. After that, she is given mental treatment and then she gets back to normal which means she don't remember about the rape and that she has given birth to a baby.

I'm not sure how will they change the story here but i think it is most probably going to be the same plot.

Well, the makers of the serial did say it was remake of Idhayam when the show was launched and many of us on the forum know and find the storyline interesting!

As to comparing DNA check and a simple check by a gynec, well the check by gynac is definitely simpler and easier......any gynec would know by a simple physical exam whether a woman has given birth or not........so I don't find anything strange in that! DNA is more to prove if the baby is hers or not.........that will come out in another way in the story......so DNA check does not have any relevance here!
