Hey guys. I know this chapter is short and not much going on, but it is setting up the dhinchak dhamaka chapter (as Sadhli would say it 😊) coming up after this one where Gopi's past meets her present! I will try and update that one later tonight. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Chapter Fourteen

Ahem got out of the car and walked towards the house. Jigar looked over at him. He was worried about Ahem. He hadn't said a word since he saw Gopi Bhabhi. They walked into the door and Ahem went straight to his room without looking at anyone or saying anything to anyone.

"Jigar Beta what's wrong? It's not like Ahem to just walk away without saying anything. Did the meeting go okay?" Hetal looked over and Jigar with questioning eyes. This made the rest of the Modi family look over at Jigar as well waiting for his answer. They all knew how important this project was for their family and they couldn't lose it at any cost.

"Woh Ma nahi meeting achi nahi gayi." Chirag, Parag, and Kokila looked over at Jigar waiting for him to say more. "Ma, today Bhai and I saw Gopi Bhabhi." At that name Kokila sprang up and ran over to Jigar.

"You saw Gopi? Where is she? How is she? Why didn't you bring her back home with you?" Kokila shot question after question.

"Kokila shant ho ja. Jigar sit down and tell us all the details. We want to hear everything." Jigar sat down and Mani brought him some water. Mani had heard Gopi's name and wanted to hear how she was.

"Ma, Ahem Bhai and I went to Shah Industries for the meeting and were waiting in the conference room and Gopi Bhabhi walked in. She is the CEO of Shah Industries Ma. She is Sanjeev's sir's daughter and she is the reason why we got the contract. Ma she hates us. She refused to let me call her Bhabhi and she tore Bhai apart. Gopi Bhabhi has changed so much. She's confident and modern, but she still has that sweet, caring nature that our Gopi Bhabhi is known for. She's intelligent and educated now Ma." Koki's heart melted knowing her Gopi was safe. Everyone in the house was so happy knowing she was safe. "Ma Ahem Bhai was heartbroken the way she talked to him. She treated him like a stranger. Kaki mein janta hoon ke Bhai ne bahut badi galti ki hai lekin Bhai ko apki bahut jarorut hai. Please Kaki." Jigar pleaded with his aunt and Kokila looked away. She got up from the living room and walked towards her son's room. It was time she forgave her son because it was going to take both of them to bring back Gopi. Koki knocked on Ahem's door before walking in. It was really dark in the room and it took a while for her to adjust to the darkness. She walked over to the bed where Ahem was sitting. He was holding something and she knew he was crying. She took the picture from him and set it down. She didn't have to look at it to know it was a picture of Gopi.

"Ahem dikhra." Ahem hadn't heard that for a long time. It felt good to hear his mom call him that. He walked over to her and put his head on her lap and cried.

"Mom I saw Gopi today. She looked so beautiful. She's so different, the way she dresses, her hair, her confidence, her skills. The only thing that's the same is her truthful eyes, her sweetness, her nature. She's still my Gopi. She doesn't wear her sindoor or mangalsutra anymore and she doesn't consider us her family. I don't blame her because I deserve it, but to hear her say I'm nobody's Bhabhi really hurt Mom." Kokila listened to her son and realized how much he loved her. She just let him cry his heart out. Tomorrow they would figure out how to get Gopi back, because now that they had found her there was no way Kokila was going to let her go again. Before Kokila realized it Ahem had fallen asleep. She gently placed a pillow under his head before leaving his room. He needed to rest. She knew he was tired and worn out. She also needed to think.

Kokila went into her room and laid down on her bed. She was really happy; she finally knew that her Gopi was not only okay, but close to her. She didn't know when she fell asleep and when the morning sun woke her up. She woke up and got ready and went downstairs. She prepared the breakfast and went to do the morning prayers. Hetal was already there. She looked over at Kokila and smiled, "It's so good to see you back to normal and happy Kokila. I really missed it."

"Mota Bhabi I am absolutely thrilled today and no one could have kept me in bed. I have gotten news about Gopi and I need to be on my feet as we need to bring our daughter back into this house once and for all." Hetal nodded at Kokila and together they did the morning prayers. It didn't feel the same as having Gopi's meethi awaz bringing them into the mandir every morning, but they would see that day again very soon. Hetal went and grabbed the morning breakfast and started setting the table. She smiled when she saw what Kokila had made. All of Jigar and Ahem's favorite dishes were on the table along with his green tea. He had stopped drinking for quite a while now. Jigar came down to the table sat down.

"Kakiji you made my favorite. Thank you so much." Kokila smiled and waited for Ahem to come down.

"Jai Shri Krishna Mom. Jair Shri Krishna Kaki." Ahem sat down and noticed the aroma's from the table. He was happy that his mom had forgiven him, but his heart would never truly mend until Gopi had forgiven him. They waited for everyone else to come down before the all ate breakfast. It had been a long time since the family had sat down together and eaten a meal. It didn't feel the same without Gopi's presence of her cooking, but it was a start to getting things back to normal.

"Jigar Beta Ahem Beta, you must take a couple of days off from work as we have to attend a wedding. Kamya's wedding is in four days and we must leave today to go." Hetal looked over at Jigar and Ahem. "We have already packed and we are just waiting for your okay." Jigar looked over at Ahem and knew that it was a good idea. He needed a break. He had been working way too hard and this might make him relax a little. Ahem nodded at Hetal and she continued, "Kinjal and Elesh should be here by three and we can all leave then." Jigar hadn't seen Kamya or his Mama Mami in a while. They had been in America when he had gotten married, and were fixing Kamya's wedding during Kinjal's. He was really happy for her. They ate breakfast and walked into the living room.

"Ma, mein aur Ahem Bhai are going into the office just to see on a last minute deal. We just want to make sure that we have acquired the title we need. We will be home before three and then we can all leave." Ahem and Jigar walked out the door and to the office.

"Jigar, you must be really happy for Kamya. We haven't seen her for a while now. I can't believe she's all grown up and getting married."

"Yeah Bhai I know. She is Kinjal's age so it makes sense, but I still can't believe our little sister is all grown up and married now. It seems like just yesterday we were all running around playing lukka chuppi." Ahem and Jigar smiled at that memory. Jigar was happy that slowly, but surly his brother was beginning to smile again. He knew he still missed Gopi dearly, but he couldn't stop living his life. Gopi would never want that. She always wanted her Ahemji to be happy and content in life. This wedding might be good for him. No one in the Modi Parivaar knew what was in store for them at that wedding.

Kamya cousin to Jigar and thus cousin to Ahem and thus cousin to Gopi... well if i didn't knew earth was round, then i would have known it after this😊... surprise pe surprise...

oh my gosh.....Kamya is related to Modi family? isnt that goin to create make things clear for Sanjeev to see that Gopi was their d-i-l..anyways...update soon😊
