Oh God. I hope Shankar doesn't murder the fim. Please, no dishoom-dishoom for Vijay. Why couldn't they get someone else?

Who will replace Vijay in '3 Idiots' remake?

Now that it is almost sure that Vijay will not be part of the Tamil remake of '3 Idiots', directed by Shankar, a guessing game is on in Kollywood as to who would replace the 'Ilaya Thalapathi'?

While some say that Shankar has shortlisted a couple of young actors and would choose one among them, others say the director is not in a hurry and the 'differences' with Vijay could be sorted out.

"Shankar is a cool person who will rise like a phoenix by crossing all hurdles. Remember his last venture 'Endhiran' too was changed hands from Kamal Haasan to Shah Rukh Khan to Rajinikanth," sources close to the director say.

They also recall that when the original producers of 'Endhiran' suffered from a financial crunch, Shankar was smart enough to convince Sun Pictures to acquire the project and to produce it in a whopping budget.

Will Surya replace Vijay?

It has not been confirmed as yet but there is a strong wave of talk going around in the industry which says that actor Surya would be replacing Vijay in the Tamil remake of the Bollywood Blockbuster '3 Idiots' directed by Shankar after his earlier film 'Enthiran' turned out to be a hit all over the world.

The original '3 Idiots', which starred Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharmaan Joshi was a runaway hit. Ilayalathapathy Vijay was supposed to play the key role essayed by Aamir Khan in the original version.

However Last week, Vijay walked out of the film in a rather unexpected manner. Reports said that Vijay withdrew at the eleventh hour stating that he might not be able to alter his appearance for the film as he would be acting in two other films simultaneously.

Whether he was 'removed' or he walked out on his own, the hunt for another actor to replace him has already been launched by Shankar and the producers, Gemini Lab.

Sources close to Shankar say that he has apprroached Surya about the remake and the maverick actor has agreed in principle to star in the film.

Whether Vijay plays the lead role or Suriya plays the lead role…viewers would only be hoping that the leading lady, Ileana D'souza remains unchanged as she makes a comeback in Tamil films with this film!

Me heard something.. dont know how much its true.. so plz no chappals if its not..😛

Since Udayanithi Stalin is into the movies, he is not in good terms with Vijay and DMK is creating troubles for him and they have influenced shankar to replace him or to face troubles. So Shankar removed Vijay and Surya came into the picture. Vijay has approached AMMA for help and rumours spreading he is joining her party soon😕🤣
