Gilli Gilli Gappa is entertainment guaranteed, Varun
Versatile actor Varun Badola who was last seen in a cameo in Pratigya is now playing the lead role opposite Shweta Gulati in Gilli Gilli Gappa on SAB TV.
Speaking about the show that is a comedy with an element of magic in it Varun says "When you are offered a show by someone like Ashwini Dhir one does not think much. All the shows that he has produced and directed in the past have done very well. It is always a pleasure to work with people who know what they are doing". As for the target audience Varun says "The show is interesting and targets a larger audience. The moment you involve magic it will keep the kids interested along with parents too".
The actor also feels lucky that the show has a wonderful cast with whom he enjoys working. "The kids are a handful. They come up with beautiful stuff but also have a very small attention span so it is quite a challenge working with them but also fun at the same time. Speaking about lead actress Shweta Gulati he says " Shweta is a complete sweetheart. We are shooting together for 12-13 hours so it is important to have someone with whom you can have a good conversation and that's why I feel good to have her around. Shweta was also part of my previous show Ek Chabi Hai Pados Mein in which she had done a guest appearance. However we did not have any scenes together so this is the first time we are actually working with each other".
Varun promises his fans that his latest show is entertainment guaranteed. "I can assure my fans that the show is enjoyable. We were recently reviewing the episodes that we have shot and Mr Ashwini Dhir is very clear about what he wants".
When asked whether we can expect to see his equally talented wife Rajeshwari Badola making a comeback on the small screen Varun lightheartedly quips "I don't think people can afford us together (laughs)".
We do hope the magical show Gilli Gilli Gappa does wonders for Varun's career too.
