Mahadev & Sons: Mahadev confronts his sons on Narmada fiasco, Ketan asks Narmada to forget him, HITS Dheeraj

Narmada's father visits Mahadev:

The story opens with Mahadev noticing Ramesh turning up unexpectedly at his rice mill. When Mahadev asks the reason for his visit, Ramesh replies that he had no choice but to come. He brings up the incident where Ketan and Dheeraj visited his home to propose Ketan’s marriage to Narmada. Mahadev dismisses the claim at first, saying Ramesh must be mistaken. Ramesh responds with sarcasm, prompting Mahadev to apologise for his son’s actions. Ramesh makes it clear that since Narmada’s engagement is only three days away, he wants to avoid any public drama.

Mahadev assures him that such behaviour will not happen again and speaks about the respect associated with his family name. Ramesh scoffs at this and reminds Mahadev of his past, recalling how Mahadev once fell in love with Vidya, Bajpai’s daughter, and now Ketan seems to be walking the same path. He also points out that he had helped Mahadev obtain the loan for the mill. Furious at this reminder, Mahadev warns Ramesh to stop before things spiral out of control. Ramesh leaves with a threat, stating that if the matter repeats, he will involve the police and ensure Mahadev’s sons face consequences.

Mahadev confronts Ketan & Dheeraj:

Later, Ketan expresses anxiety about how Ramesh might react next. Dheeraj tries to reassure him, saying that Ramesh choosing to confront Mahadev directly shows restraint, and if things worsen, they will handle it when the time comes.

When Mahadev reaches home, he angrily demands to know Vidya where Ketan and Dheeraj are. He vents about being insulted, and Vidya tells him that both sons are in their room. Mahadev storms in and erupts in anger, declaring that they no longer deserve a place in his house.

Vidya asks him to explain what triggered this outburst. Mahadev reveals everything about Ketan’s relationship with Narmada and reminds Vidya that Ramesh was the same man who supported him financially during the mill crisis. He accuses Ketan of betraying a promise he once made and lashes out at Dheeraj for taking the lead in approaching Ramesh’s family. Overwhelmed and bitter, Mahadev says he is exhausted from being a father. He criticises all his sons, calling Ashish irresponsible due to his drinking, branding Ketan as reckless, and questioning whether Dheeraj is truly capable of carrying family responsibility. He then tells Priya that from now on, Dheeraj will decide her marriage, not him. Declaring himself dead to the family, Mahadev walks away.

Mahadev asks his son to follow the life he chooses:

Ketan and Ashish try to apologise, but Mahadev reminds them of the struggle he endured to earn respect in society. He begs them not to ruin his honour and demands they promise to follow the life he has chosen for them. Vidya intervenes and makes Ashish vow to give up alcohol, while Ketan is forced to promise that he will end his relationship with Narmada. When Vidya turns to Dheeraj and asks him to commit to Mahadev’s values, he hesitates. Dheeraj admits that while their parents have sacrificed everything for them, he cannot blindly accept all of Mahadev’s beliefs.

PRECAP:

Ketan calls Narmada and telling her to forget him. Dheeraj confronts Ketan, pointing out that Narmada is willing to abandon her family for him, while he is backing out in fear. The argument escalates and Ketan lashes out, hitting Dheeraj.
