We have recently seen that Our Daya sir is being called as DAYA SHETTY, though his real name is DAYANAND SHETTY.

What do u think about it? Which Name do u like? Which name do u think suits him in real life? Daya Shetty or Dayanand Shetty?

Exactly. I use 'Dayanand' to differentiate between the actor and the character. As bhavana said, if there's a surname it has to be Dayanand Shetty and without a surname, it's plain 'Daya' - short and sweet.

The name of the character of the CID officer is Daya and the name of actor is Dayanand Shetty. If I talk about the character I say just "Daya", not Daya Shetty.

well, yeah... I agree with Bhavs.... When its the actor with the surname, its Dayanand! Suits better with Shetty! But when its the CID officer, its just the sweet Daya.... 😳 and when "Daya..." comes from his best friend on screen... In a mild tone... Its 😳 😳
