I read somewhere that Baabi could not bear a son with her first husband and left because of the harassment she faced in her village.

Her mother in law called her second child Nakusha, the Unwanted. Nakku tells Babi in one of the earliest episodes, "I know grandma gave me this name, the Unwanted, but I know my Aayi loves me very much..."

Ganpat is Baabi's second husband, and she had a son with him.
