😛 I've noticed a new trend in Bollywood music over the last year or so. Marathi words and phrases are making a much needed and welcome inway in to Bollywood music. Be it the rap song from Khatta Meetha, or the numerous pop videos centered around marathi phrases. I am a big fan of marathi bhasha, and I love this trend. I wish Sa Re Ga Ma would do an entire episode dedicated to marathi related songs. Marathi bhasha is filled with emotions, and just so much energy. I hope to hear more and more marathi influenced songs in the future from Bollywood. 😳

Bollywood is in Bombay so I am not surprised if there is Marathi influence in Songs. Biggest singer of bollywood is a Maharastrian. As for Marathi being filled with emotions, so I think each language has that. It won't be a language without emotions. and yes I agree Marathi lavani songs are full of energy.

I just think it's great when all languages and regions get used in and influence Bollywood music. After all, music ties the world together, so let's start with our own country. 😳

😃 arey good point, but being that there were several posts about punjabi language being used in Bollywood, I thought I would make a case for marathi as well bhai.......😛 point being that each language is beautiful and I don't understand it when people put any one language ahead of another.......Urdu is no better then hindi, hindi is not better then punjabi, punjabi is no better then marathi, marathi is no better then gujarati, gujarati is no better then tamil etc........each language is beautiful to those who speak and understand it.......😛
