She did various forms of Contemporary fusion styles which are accepted as various forms of dance styles around the world. Lyrical Style, Urban Style, etc to name some examples. She also did Indian Classical, Ballet, Paso Doble, Hip Hop, Locking N Popping, Indian Folk, Bollywood/Bollyhop, etc.. She is a trained Contemporary dancer, and trained at TLCDC, so that's her forte. But she still did several styles outside her comfort zone, in DID2. She had more versatility than some others, plus whatever she did, she tried her best to achieve near perfection in her performances.

i almost agry with akanna she is right .shakti did many styles in DID and in all the styles she was good .if you dont know than watch shakti performences in DID.Saroj gi is an excellent choreographer .i m not blaming her but i just say that shakti did many different styles not only contemporary.i think that one person who is trained in hip hop not the best in all the styles . shakti did not done item song before this.Even dharmesh is not good in latin american why because he is not trained in latin american .Dont take me wrong it is just my point oof you.

Only thing I can recollect of Shakti in DID is Contemporary, Contemporary, Contemporary.............. & may be 1 or 2 other forms.

I saw in Nachle ve munni badnaam episode, how great Shakti is, she couldnt even manage to reach the next round & that also she was competing against a non dancer(tv actress) . Shame! being an Indian she cant do bollywood no.s at all & she admitted this herself. Sad, After loosing she gave an excuse that she doesnt know bollywood dancing atall & its not her genre.

this is not true shakti is the best dancer how can you judge shakti dance in only one performence

she did many other styles and performed very good .its just my point . dont take me wrong.

Take it easy everyone. I know that you all love Shakti but that doesn't mean you can say whatever you want. I agree that she is a good dancer, when it comes to judging then no one has the right to do that. Perhaps that day was her bad day. The reason can be anything. I haven't seen the whole DID 2 but I have seen some performances. I think she deserved winning but I can't say she is the best because everyone is good. No one is perfect.

None of us said Shakti is perfect, but she definitely deserved the most to win in DID2 among the four finalists, no doubt!! The only others who could come to her level were Kruti and Amar, but they were eliminated before the finale...

DID isint about the indian /bollywood dance u see..and whatever she knows about "indian bollywood dances" is surely more than ure knowledge about it..secondly other contestants in fact donot even know what shakti knows in dance....they all are here to learn from saroj ji and terrence sir..DID is about the versatile dance forms..have u even tried knowing what DID us about ,i think no..so better just go find out what is the difference between dance india dance and nachle ve..!!

and yeah don't be sad...India knows who's the best..!!!

agree abou kruthi, but i also love amrita, she was another very very strong dancer, remember in remos challenge she was the only other one apart from shakti who got the best comment from the judges
