I don't care how he is as an actor. I've never really appreciated him. Never really cared much for him as an actor. Was never really his fan. But I think I've made a 360 turn now! 😆 Of course he doesn't beat Shahrukh or anyone as far as acting is concerned. I'll always have that biasness towards Shahrukh when it comes to the best actor. BUT when it comes to personality I got to give this award to Hrithik and Hrithik only from what I've seen from him. I wish every bollywood actor and actress was so down to earth and genuine like him.

Just recently he appeared on SRGMP (not sure how many of you watch the show). But he literally made me so emotional in the show. He is the ONLY actor that gave checks to EVERY single contestant. Not every actor/actress would do such a noble need. He did that to show a lot of encouragement. He also discussed how he met with a guy named John who is disabled (like the character of Hrithik in Guzaarish). He mentioned he sat down with John at the hospital for 6 hours and John made him laugh. It was such an emotional story.

Here's the link if anyone missed it:

Listening to this story really teared me up. So many of us don't appreciate our lives and always complain about our problems and how we hate everything that's going on. We're always hating life for whatever reason: problem with the parents, bad grades, failure, arguments, or whatever the reason may be. But we don't realize that all of this is part of life and life indeed is a game & we all are just a pawn. We should really really appreciate life a lot more than we do now.

Bottom line: HRITHIK YOU ARE AMAZING YAAR. Anyone who is in any way connected to you should be so proud to have a friend, son, brother, father, husband whatever it may be like you. It doesn't matter how much of a good or bad actor you are...what matters is that you are one of India's...no scratch that...you are one of the world's most inspiring person out there! And I salute you for that! 👏

Oh ya, I remember seeing that:

To be honest, if he acted any differently than that, then I'd be surprised. I am sure it was in the script for him to publicize and market the movie in such a way, and I doubt the money was from his own pocket. Obviously I am being a cynic here, but it all really didn't seem that genuine, and the speech he prepared for John on SRGMP was the same one he used at another talk show...he used the same exact tone, words, voice modulation, expressions. It got redundant. Hmm.

No. I really think it was from his pocket. I don't think it was on behalf of the film or whatever. Of course I could be wrong. But it didn't seem "fake" to me. It looked very genuine. This is the first time I saw him talk about John. I didn't even know about it, so maybe that's why I felt the way I did. But this isn't the only time I've seen such a genuine personality from Hrithik. Through the years I've been noticing it. And now the only question I have in my mind is why didn't I appreciate this man before? LOL

Maybe I would have bought off this noble act of his if he gave away the money to contestants in private....shayad tab, I would have thought it was genuine. It's just skeptical to believe it was not for pretense, considering the cameras were present, and that his movie dealt with a sensitive issue.

But it's good to have one less cynic! 😆

Well maybe you're right, and maybe you're wrong. It is a very sensitive issue and def understand where you are coming from. But I just think a bit different! :) I just put forth my views. And as mentioned in an earlier post this isn't the first time I've seen a noble deed by Hrithik. Through the years I've learned to appreciate him more and more as a human being rather than an actor! =)

Hrithik is amazing and hardworking man. I read an interview of him where the doctors told him he can't dance anymore. But he didn't give up, and now he can still dance. Love his hardworking, his role in Guzaarish is proof. He wants to do different kinda roles. Not the same over and over again. Haven't seen that episode, thanks for sharing!

He is a very sensitive, compassionate and fantastic human being in the true sense...I've seen him grow to this stature since he was in his early teens....and believe me there is nobody quite like him...he is one of a kind and I feel proud that I know him!!!!

somehow hrithik dosen't come off as being natural or genuinely compassionate to me....he appears largely forced and staged when he does all these "good things"...the kind of speeches he keeps giving about life, hardships etc seem to be memorized out of a Dale Carnegie book....so not sure abt him being all that gr8.
