Talk about GC's acting should be limited to him only, and no one from his personal life should be brought into conversation.

But Janaki fans watch this show religiously and have certain standards and when those standards are not met, then we begin to question why and speculation as to what's going on is expected isn't it? For example, when GC was sick and the storyline has to be changed last minute, many fans questioned why the shows makers did not shoot the episodes in advance which fans believed to be the reason for GC being ill. Many blamed the makers of the show for not giving him enough rest, hence why he always looked tired. Yet it turned out he was suffering from dengue fever right?

It could easily be argued that fans have no right to bring in the makers of the show and question them on what they do as a daily job. Speculations shall always be made, until there is some sort of confirmation from a source. I don't think GC and his personal life should be off-limits as long as it is done maturely and not for any other reason. If GC's personal life was really off-limits then IF reporters should not go to his house and interview him, debina and show videos of them playing with their dog.😕

As long as the fine line between constructive criticism and bashing is not crossed, then I do not see the harm.

See, I have no problem with constructive criticism of GC or Debi, but that's not being done by many people in this forum. Don't know whether you have read some of the worse threads here, but some of the comments are disgusting and are beyond just bashing. Those members deserve their WLs to be raised or even for their accounts to be permanently banned, but I do not see that happening. I have sent PMs to one of the GMs who promised to look into the problem, so hopefully those members will receive their warnings.

I too agree that GC's personal life should not be completely off limits because of their blog and interviews and such, but when commenting on actors' personal lives, should a level of dignity and maturity not be maintained? People say constructive criticism should be allowed, and I agree, but the so called 'constructive criticism' going on in this forum is only 10%. The other 90% is all bashing, and hence the DT here has no choice but to ban Debina from all topics. Majority of members in this forum who comment on DB do not use constructive criticism at all. You yourself must know this.

I feel it is acceptable to comment on anyone involved in the show, including actors, makers, etc, but to bring in people not involved in the show (like Debina or someone from Drashti's family or whatnot) if they do not have good reason is not very mature behavior in my opinion. If they do, they should at least be respectful and cultured in their talk even if they do not like the said person for whatever reason. That in itself is the mark of a truly respectable person.
