Yes, I really think there is a lot of potential in this character, specially the inner fight that go on constantly in a son torn between supporting a wife and a mom. This is not a easy Character play being between a dominanting Mom and a career oriented independent women and CVs could have really played it well instead of just destroying this important caharcter.😡

Yes Cool, he supported his son and actually helped him to meet with Nandu on several occasion and all of a sudden his mom starts finding faults with his wife., and oh he wakes up and see those faults too - what after 30 yrs - to me he is going through a major old age crisis😡😳....this is just unconvincing to me....

[A huge sigh!]
One of these days the Indian Tellyserial writers and producers will wake up and write and produce smart shows instead of putting together episodes in a hurry, without any thought processes behind the stories and characters! The deterioration starts early even when there is public interest!
Why? Why?

With Gautam's character, they had a great opportunity to show how people are in double mind in a lot of situations. That would have been so much better than a complete about turn.....

Something like : One one hand he loves his wife so much, wants to believe in her / support her, but on the otherhand, he is not strong enough to stand up to his mom or may be even he doesn't completely disagree with his mom..... And they can show this character somewhat in the middle instead of "for or against "

I think it's still not too late, they can turn this around and make him more interesting. There is really no need for EVERYBODY to go against K and N . Hope they keep Pratham level headed.

Koham, you speak my mind...I made the same observation in one of my post. I find that CVs can't handle complicated characters well and they just run away from issues like this,

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I agree cent percent!! Aakhir kyun???!?!?! *pained expression, sorrowful voilin music in the background*🤣🤣
Especially in this serial, the storyline is already taken from somewhere else... why did they hapahazardly put the scenes without analyzing??? Why such a hurry??
The viewers have only so much patience... if tele serial people dont get their act together, viewers will switch to something else thats equally thoughtless, mercilessly!🤣

i agree 100%. i'v been thinking the same thing. it makes no sense that he would change like this. when we first met his character i was like, great, a refreshing, nonsterotypical dad, hubby, FIL. one that is close to older men in the real world (ones like my dad, uncles, etc), but then like u said, the change in character is so unrealistic. it makes no sense that he would snap like this all of a sudden. i'm surprised dr. k is tolerating it and not questioning what his deal is. it's like he's completely a different person.

How can a husband for say 30 yrs, who has supported Dr. K through her studies and her career, as well has fathered 3 kids, be so mean to her wife (and CVs also showed that they enjoyed a good husband/wife relationship) be suddenly so mean to her. He is not only mean to his own wife, but also a new DIL, who just came to his household because he and others in his family wanted her to be his son's wife and supported his son's almost throughout until his mom showed up. I agree most often than not, a son struggles to balance the relationship between his wife and his mother, but shouldn't we expect a little bit more from his character as a mature, experience and educated person who can balance his different relationships and maintain the needed decorum with his new DIL and his family.

For me, I am finding that CV is not balancing this character well. I guess the CV is aiming to show a rift between Dr. K and Gautam regarding Nandu in the future, but can't that be handled in a mature manner without literally destroying the very essence of the character.Just my POV

i totally agree with u

See I think the leads are important, but the supporting Characters are even more important, because these characters defines how the lead role is played out. If the supporting characters are weak and unconvincing, the storyline loses its charm and interest. what the use of making the supporting characters weak and unconvicing, who will really believe in Prem trying to support Nandu later when the storyline is already made so weak. The present Zee serials are all getting low TRPs and I think because the Cvs are handling all the characters so unconvincingly.😡
