Laali's name for her hubby

I know we have discussed this before, but does Laali not call Shekhar by his first name? Why Why ????

Stupid...after all these years of marriage.

She could call him Sweetie, honey etc

Come on Laali all your huband by his name...

Sweetie, honey would be nice. I think in rural India, the women folk did not take their husband's name. I am not sure why. Remember, when Laali went to meet Ganesiya, her first husband, she did not know where he lived. But she stopped a passerby, saying that she was looking for her husband's house, and that his name matched the elephant headed God lived. She refused to take his name.

Anyway, Siddheshwari called Shekhar by his name. Shekhar, when he first fell in love with Laali, had tried to force her to call him by his name. Finally, he just gave up. She just refused to do so. Maybe, it was out of respect, I am not sure.

I think she got so use to the Chota Thakhur that it is automatic in her head. Also since she is from a lower class and a servant she might not be allowed to call him Shekhar.

I think it is weird to not call your spouse by some kind of name. But she is married to the hunk of a man😆😆😆😆😆

I believe that Laali is doing all of this out of respect...for once can't she forget her goodie goodie ways.😆😆😆😆😆 Call the man Sexy Shekhar, Sweet Shekhar, Smiley Shekhar, Shake me up Shekhar...so much better than Chota Thakur....which makes him sound like a little boy or the name of a tree...😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
