I am talking about the woman characters in Uttaran . From Divya to Mai, From Tappu to Nani , From Iccha to ammo. All these characters may be positive or negative , but where is the real woman in them. None of the woman character is real in the show or none ave the personality or identity of their own .. Thee only moto in life to be a wife- mother etc....

I mean for Iccha . she invested her life in the name of friendship.
Tappu spent for jealousy , competition ,
Nani for manipulating Tappu's life.
Divya in confusion

Before leap Ammo was little real , she reminds me of those maids whose only am is to get their child food and better life. But after some episodes it became another sacrificing character.

Today Tappu was again murmuring "mera pati , mera parivar" ..I mean common girl ... grow up now..
Iccha's aim is to get back Mai's love back ...............
etc etc

Enough CV's shows us 1% of real woman .. than this caricatures which we have been seeing for ages .

yes uttaran has hardly shown real women
real men yes, veer and jogi.
the soaps r watched mostly by women, they should show real woman.
uttaran 2 me was very real till the bride swap.
iccha teaching and taking care of paras in rehab,
it was such a good character then.
the cvs completely ruined this.😡😡

What you say is almost spot on.

In my opinion Ammo does not fit into this group. Whilst she may be quiet, sacrificing she is the only person (woman)who has probably remained truest to her original character and one that I can empathize with. There is a certain air of reality about her. Yes, she did tell Ichcha to put Tapasya's needs before her own but that may have been her only miscalculation or wrong advice. Even in reality people make mistakes in their judgments.

She may live in the Thakur household but never has she stepped out of line and has retained her given status despite the fact that her daughter is treated like a daughter in the house that she works.

Just my way of looking at it.

Having said that it is a serial full of negative characters who are being shown in extreme characteristics, specially in the women.

yes most of these women dont seem normal... they all have overly exaggerated responses... too negative or too positive... there is no reasoning for their actions n behaviour...

Very well written....yeah none of them portray the real woman of today.....not even ammo...look around at today's maids..we're running after them. ..they are extremely choosy about whom to work and have strict terms & conditions.....
In the past they showed one lady doctor Veer was talking to for Vansh....she was the one...but such characters dont have much scope...they just dont fit into this drama....
Iccha's character had so much scope...but cvs is hell bent on destroying it completely..

An esteemed member once said that TV characters require to be a bit exaggerated for these serials.

Whilst I agree with that --- what I feel is that the CV's (and here I am giving the CV's more than their share of the benefit of the doubt which they have neither earned nor are likely to earn) in trying to show exaggeration have gone overboard and made the characters extreme to a point of making them unbelievable.

I wonder how many of these characters, barring maybe Rohini, Ammo, Umed and Kasa kaka, any of us can actually say they know someone who resembles them?????? Maybe a Mattoo and Raghu who came in as guest actors could ring a bell for some people but I am talking about all the main actors.
