Heartbreak time in Bigg Boss
It's heartbreak time for female viewers as Hrishant Goswami is named the latest bigg boss evictee.
He walked in a nobody and walked out a celebrity. t2 caught up with model Hrishant Goswami minutes after he was evicted from the Bigg Boss house. No one expected you to be evicted so early… I didn't expect it myself! It's been quite a shock, to be frank. I seriously thought that I would last till the end of the show. Honestly, I had thought that either Veena (Malik) or Sam (Sameer Soni) would go this time. So when my name was announced, it did take me a while to get used to the idea. But having said that, I am a firm believer in destiny and I know that whatever has to happen, will happen. Do you think being one of the few non-controversial contestants in the house is responsible for your early eviction? It could be, but I wouldn't like to believe that. See, there are a lot of my co-contestants who are going out of their way to generate controversy and grab attention, but I can't do all that. Even if I try, I can't manage it. In the house, I was just being myself. I am the kind of person who doesn't unnecessarily like to create issues. If I have a problem with you, I will tell you on your face and not gossip about it with 10 other people behind your back. That's the way I am and no Bigg Boss is ever going to be able to change that. How would you describe the eight weeks spent in Bigg Boss? When I went in, I didn't really know what to expect. It took me a while to adjust to the people and the show format and I generally kept to myself. People thought I was snooty and as a result, I was nominated in week one itself. Gradually, I found my feet and then started having a lot of fun. I knew that surviving in that house would be very tough, but only when I walked in did I realise how tough it actually was. There were moments when I spoke my mind and took some calls. Some people liked it, some didn't. I met a lot of people — people like Manoj Tiwari and Shweta Tiwari who are far more popular than I am. I learnt a lot about discipline and self-restraint and how to behave under pressure. I got very close to Ashmit (Patel) and Manojji. There was a wedding in the house (Sara Khan and Ali Merchant's) that I really enjoyed. We got some really challenging tasks to do. Every Friday was tense because we would lose one co-contestant. Then of course there was the chance to interact with Salman (Khan) every Friday. I am a huge fan of his. And how could I forget the highlight of my stay — meeting the Pamela Anderson! Man, that was big! You seemed the most excited when Pamela walked into Bigg Boss… You tell me, who wouldn't be? Growing up, Pamela Anderson's been the fantasy of every guy of my generation. The moment she walked in through the door, both Ashmit and I started wobbling on our feet! She was really, really super. She blended in with us so easily and had no airs at all. She's very down to earth and easy to chat with, a gem of a person. I have told her that the next time I am in Los Angeles, I am going to look her up! Veena confessed on camera that she was in love with you... Well, to be honest, I wasn't really surprised because I had been getting feelers from her for some time (smiles). Feelings can develop on a show like this where you don't have much to do and are spending all your time with just a handful of people. Veena's a sweet girl, very hot, but my priorities lie elsewhere. I explained that to her and thankfully she understood. Who do you think has the potential to last till the end? Very difficult to say. The voting public is extremely unpredictable. They may love you one moment, hate you the next. This season has quite a few big names and I see a big fight towards the end. For sure, I want either Ashmit or Manojji to win. Khali also has a good chance. What will you take back from Bigg Boss? The eight weeks spent here have definitely made me a stronger person. Having braved Dolly Bindra, I know that I will not lose my cool easily now (laughs). I was always level-headed, but now I have learnt not to be easily judgmental. You come back to quite a huge female fan following… Do I? Wow! Well, I am looking forward to that. I don't feel so depressed about being evicted anymore! |
