maithili is quite a mystery in the serial it has almost made everyone Google at least 30000 times on net.here are my views
as i said in the pole i posted
option 1
she must be a vampire killed in clan wars because as you can see in the episode where abhay remembers his dance with maithili she is wearing a black and red dress which is traditional Dracula colors for the dress so it is a possibility that she got killed saving abhays life in the wars between clans
option 2
or maithili must have been a human killed by chand and haseena because she may have known the truth and must have gone to expose them or even another vampire could have killed her for the same reason.
option 3
maithili also could have been a witch and abhay must have sacrificed her to save his clan it is possible because the necklace Mr raichand sees on 4th Nov episode looks magical
option 4
maithili must be a human who was killed by abhay . he must have gone to close to her and he must have lost control and killed her maybe thats why haseena tells him in the boxing episode that you cant control abhay .
option 5
or when maithili and abhay were humans in the past abhay must have left to earn some money he must have promised her to come back and get married but on his way he must have met with a accident and chand must have bit him and transformed him and because of his dispearence people must have made a wrong rumor that he is dead and in this pain she must have committed suicide
