Im just trying to understand what would Amma call her..a saut or a Rakhel because Arushi is a different cast..if it was someone of a thakur cast they would call her Saut?

There married in religion but not by law...but will people except Arushi as Shakti's other wife?

There is a difference between Saut and Rakhel. Saut is the lady , who got married by the married man. Rather a previously married man marry a girl , the girl considers as Saut. But Rakhel means the man don't get married with the girl . Just having physical relations.

As Shakti married Arushi, she will be Saut not rakhel. If Shakti uses her as physically and doesn't marry her then Arushi would be called as Rakhel.
