i would love for her to become the Head of the Village. it would be nice to see how Loha would have to take Lali's orders.

Laali becoming sarpanch means an end to loha regime.... she never had a power struggle with him before... and I think like MP's and MLA's, even Sarpanch have salary's... so she would be able to win Madhav.... And maybe she can now provide solutions to social evils, women upliftment, rural problems... What I like that she was the most down-trodden part of family; a mistress, from there she rose to become a lover, a wife, a daughter-in-law, and now Sarpanch, even powerful than loha... and as a line in spiderman 'with great powers comes great responsibilities'...

Laali has a lot going against her. In an earlier post I had mentioned some of these things. But despite all these the CVs will make sure she will win. In between now and her win will be the drama between her and Loha, where Loha will be trying to spoil her chances of winning. Let's see her negatives:

She has three husbands. Still married to all. (Not a very good role model for girls and young women.)
She is wife number two to husband Shekhar. (Remember Shekhar is not divorced from Siddy yet.)
Because she is wife number two, she is considered Shekhar's mistress. Because of this many people from the village had refused to attend her baby shower (Godh Bharai, I think it is called) and had refused to attend several pooja ceremonies at the Loha House. Therefore, how can she expect people to vote for her?
Laali is from a low caste family. In a social setting where the caste system holds sway, she might not be considered the best candidate.
She might need money to fight the election, and currently, she has none.

I don't know, but i so far as I remembered, Shekhar and Siddhi's divorce was mentioned... I still remember the child shower episodes; it was mentioned there... I might be wrong, but I think, it was there... (will recheck the video of that episode, does anyone remember which date was it???)

Indeed its an uphill task for Laali to beat Loha at the election, with so many odds against her.... And it will be interesting how CV's pull it off, w/o making it convenient.... or dragging.... And doing it with Logic...

Lalli actually has money and she will do something for the village because she saved many people and so many people r going 2 vote 4 her
Also lalli doesn't have 3 husbands if you think the opposite as me tell me the 3 husbands she has. lalli actually has 1 husband shekar

Lil_Rit, I write below Laali's three husbands.

Husband No. 1: Ganesiya. She was married to Ganesiya at the age of eight. She went to him after she ran away from the Loha house in the earlier episodes but found that her sister Rekha was on the verge of marrying him. So she told Ganesiya a lie and said she was a rich man's mistress now, and went away. They didn't divorce each other.

Husband No. 2: Shekhar: He ran away with Laali to Nepal and married her there. She became his wife No. 2. And he became her husband No. 2 as well. Till today Shekhar has not divorced Siddheshwari. There has been no mention of it ever in any episode that I have seen till now.

Husband No. 3. Dr. Shailendra Singh. Laali married him soon after she lost her memory, and she raised his two children. Because she was married to him, she was called Thakurain by everyone. She left him to go back to Shekhar and her child. This is why Suman is so angry with Laali - for choosing Shekhar over her father. There has been no mention of divorce here as well.

However, she only had intimate relations with Shekhar which produced their child, Madhav.

Still, she remains the woman with three husbands. Married to all, and divorced by none.
