Freedom of Speech and Expression!!
Has anyone heard those terms? Isn't that supposed to be the cornerstone of democracy?
The fourth pillar on which every democracy survives and sustains?
Well!!!
The days of Emergency when every word goes under libel or sedition seem to be back once again.
Nowhere else but in India can a political pressure group get so interested in entertainment so much that they dictate terms to them and become the moral police - police the air waves and entertainment channels and send out threats and warnings or ELSE!!!
These musclemen and muscle-women with political muscle power DON'T CARE that CHINA is occupying the NORTH EAST bit-by-bit or that REAL PEOPLE are facing REAL PROBLEMS in REAL LIFE.
All that they care is that some ENTERTAINMENT show that is aimed at some mass populace for fulfilling their entertainment needs.
They raise their so-called moral eyebrows at simple and natural things that are a part of story telling and try to stick their noses where none is needed.
Why give them so much power and authority to decide the creative thought process.
If these morons continue to get away with their scare tactics, we WOULD CERTAINLY have not had independence from the British imperialists.
So, let freedom reign.
Let them not threaten or get away with their threats.
Channels show that the PRESS rules and that FREEDOM of the PRESS is NOT DEAD!!!
Come on, show them their place.
Tell them to go fight real wars against real enemies of this country.
Tell them to police the morality of the Mumbai Mafia.
Tell them to go fight the insurgency at North-East or in the North-West.
The I & B Ministry should have the intelligence to see that this is a new dawn of information age where the Internet rules and you think if you stop some channel from airing some stuff that people don't have access to Youtube and other DVDs etc., to watch stuff that YOUR MORAL POLICE find offensive. GIVE US A BLOO*Y BREAK!!
So are you going to BAN YouTube. Oh, wouldn't that be great!!!!!!!
Even China with it's Communist policies don't do that!!
Oh, or are you going to paint clothes and veils on all those nude sculptures in so many temples across India??????

The day you let someone define the limits of Democracy and the boundaries of FREEDOM you have curtailed and chained FREEDOM.
Let's take example from Myanmar which had to release Aung San Suu Kyi cause it has realized the error in its ways and that there is NO METHOD to their madness.
To all those moral police, just get out your faces from inside the Idiot box or some film and go into the REAL WORLD and FIGHT REAL PROBLEMS.
