SR One-Shot:Living For You

It was night time. Darkness had just made its way on the horizon. Sid and Riddhima were still completing their respective duties at Sanjeevani. It had been quite a tiring and long day. Although both were extremely tired, both had a desire to spend time with each other at home.

Riddhima had successfully finished her duty and was making her way to Sid's chamber.

Seeing Sid always made her feel happy and fresh,despite all the work.

Sid was, surprisingly, waiting for her outside the General Ward. A small smile formed on both lips as their eyes met.

Riddhima, "Sid,are you free already? I thought you were still on duty?''

Sid,"Nope. Finished. Lets go home. I'm very tired. Hey but wait a second. I had to say something to you.''

Riddhima looked up to see his face. She was a bit surprised. "Yeah. What?"

"I love you"

Riddhima had already started blushing. "I love you too Siddhant."

That was the only reply Sid wanted to obtain. With a big smile on both faces and hands in each others, they left the building.

Riddhima had a soft smile on her face while Sid drove the vehicle. Lost in her thoughts, she did not notice someone's eyes on her.

"Riddhima what are you thinking about?"

"Oh nothing. Do you remember what's coming in 2 days?"

"Umm no. Not really"

Sid had a teasing smile on his face. He completely knew which occasion was coming.

It was their second anniversary in 2 days. Riddhima, startled by his reply, "you seriously don't remember?''

"Nope. What is it?"

"Never mind."

Sid didn't want to ruin the surprise and so decided Riddhima would have to wait for two more days for the surprise.

After two days.

"Siddhant get up right now! It's already past eight. We have to reach the hospital in a few minutes!"

With only a few minutes to spare,they were already in the car.

"Sid you really don't remember what day it is?"

"Nope. Is it your birthday?"

"Ah! Forget it.!"

Sid's soft smile remained hidden. He would apologise to her after her surprise party.

The day passed slowly for both but finally darkness dawned on the sky.

Riddhima was already filled with anger due to Sid's behaviour and his ways of forgetting.

As she met him outside, before she could holler a word, Sid spoke, " Riddhima,we'll talk on the way. I'm really tired. Really want to get some sleep."

"Yeah. Whatever. You probably don't even remember." The last bit was muttered by her under her breath.

All the way home, none said a word but Sid knew what was planned.

As soon as they reached the doorstep, Riddhima was hysterical. "Sid, what was the reason for your weird behavior today?"

A loud eruption roared from the house as everyone greeted the couple with enthusiasm..

"This was the reason."

It took a few seconds before Riddhima's thoughts processed the scenery laid in front of her.

Riddhima instantly had tears in her eyes. The sight was beautiful. Everything had been done according to her choice.

Sid was scrutinizing Riddhima's face closely and was satisfied with her smile.

In a state of joy, she immediately hugged Sid. "I can't express how to thank you Siddant. I almost thought you had forgotten."

Sid was already laughing. "Could I ever forget the day you entered my life as my wife?"

"I love you Siddant."

"Love you too. Well so you do want to dance?"

"I'd love to." Riddhima had a loud smile which could crack a glass.

Sid laid out his hand which RIddhima took n move to the dance floor.

Slowly ,two soul mates continued with their heavenly bliss into another year of happiness.
