Maan was done with his office work in the study..he looked at the clock..it was 7: 58..

"Itni der ho gayee? Geet abhi tak neechay nahi aai??.. he thought while shutting down his Laptop. Now he really wanted to go and ask..he got up and was going upstairs when he heard some noise in kitchen..

He stopped and made his way to the kitchen..

"Tum yahan?..i mean tum neechay kab aain?"..he asked surprisingly stopping at the kitchen door

"bas abhhi thodi der pehlay"..

Maan: mujhe bata diya hota..he sed looking at her..

Geet: raat k khane main kya hona chahiye?..abhi bholu aaiga tou kya bolon usko bananay ko?

She asked looking at him..changing the topic..standing near the counter..

Maan: hmmmmmm..tum tayyar ho jao!

Geet: kyon?..dont tell me u r going to cook me up for dinner..she sed smilingly but yet calmly and pretending to be scared.

Maan: r u back??..

Geet: ummm..wat?..she asked hesitantly and yet confusingly

Maan: from ur anger trip..?

Geet looked down at the counter..feeling guilty.."ohh..yeah..actually I wanna say sorry!..main pata nahi kyon itna ghussay main aagayee..aur..(she takes a deep breath) i knw mujhe aisay behave nahi karna chahiye tha..tum par ghussa nahi hona chahiye tha.. tum to meri he side le rahay thay..but!..she sighed as if she really didn't have the reason herself for her behavior

Maan entered in the kitchen: 10 minute de raha hoon..jaldi se tayyar hokar aao..hum bahar jaa rahay hain..kyon na aaj bahar dinner karain

Geet: umm..nahi Maan..mood nahi hai..she sed dully

Maan: mood nahi hai to banao..acha hai..thoda change hojaye ga..

Geet: lekin Maan..

"chalo chalo chalo..he interrupted walking to her and holding her hand..

Geet: ok ok..main dus (10) minutes main aati hoon..k?

Maan: ok..main car main tumhara wait kar raha hoon.

Geet nodded and made her way to her room.. it even didn't take her fully 10 minutes to get ready..she quickly wore casual jeans wid a kurta, put mascara and plain lip gloss, left her hair open, wore her sandals and walked outside the house..toward the little garage and sat in the car..

Maan: all ready?

Geet nodded..

Maan: impressive..warna lardkiya kaafi zyada time nahi lagati? He asked while checking her out

Geet: kya huwa? Main theek to lag rahee hoon na..i mean..it's a casual dinner na?

Maan smiled: hmm..lekin theek nahi lag rahi..he sed taking the car out of the garage.

Geet looked in the front mirror.."acha" she sed disappointingly..

Maan: achi lag rahi ho!

Geet looked at him..who was smiling..she shyly smiled..lowering her head..looking down in her lap..she thought y his comment made so much difference to her..thinking it's a girl thing to feel happy about when a guy praises a girl about her looks..she satisfied herself wid that thought and was excited for dinner..

They both reached the restaurant, Maan parked the car and they both walked to the entrance.. they enter and were looking for a corner table where there won't be too much crowd..

Maan: wahaan chaltay hain..he sed walking to the corner at his right hand side

Geet followed..while walking to the table she saw a group of guys sitting on a table laughing loudly..the noise grabbed her attention and she looked at the familiar faces and it was the gang from her accounting class..

Geet: oh crap!..she started walking fastly to catch up wid Maan..and noticed one of the guy pointing toward her and telling other guys..she quickly held Maan's hand.

Maan slows down looking at her who was nervous.."Kya huwa?"..he asked

Geet: kuch nahi..keep walking..i will tell u once we sit.. she almost whispered looking at him

Maan: ok..

And they both reached the table and settled themselves down on the giant round shaped sofa around the table..Geet now was smiling at Maan who was sitting next to her but at a distance..

Maan: ab kuch batao gee k huwa kya hai..achanak aise behave kyon kar rahee ho?

Geet: maan yeh confused expression hatao apne chehray par se..and smile..woh log dekh rahay hain..

Maan was about to turn back and see that Geet was talking about which people and why they were looking at them..when Geet stopped him by putting her hand over his.

"Peechay nahi dekhna warna unko shak hojayega k hum unkay baare main baat kar rahe hain"..she sed smiling fakingly.

Maan: lekin woh log kon hain? Aur tum unke saamne yeh sab..?

Geet interrupts: yeh wahi ladkay hain..jo meri accounting class main hain..jinse maine bola k..hum dono ki sagaii huwi hai..

Maan: ohh.. got it..he smiled..and held her hand and after some moments moved closer and stealthily looked at them.

Geet: Maan I think humko kahin aur chalna chahiye!

Maan: Kyon..dont tell me coz of them..acha hai..unko humain saath dekh kar yaqeen aajaiga..k tum meri hi Mangetar ho.

Geet: hmm..u r rite I guess..

Maan: Maan Singh Khurana is always rite! He sed pressing her hand which he was holding wid a charming smile..

Geet smiled: acha ab khana order karo na..she sed slightly getting her hand out from his grip

Maan: ahem..sure..he called the waiter..and ordered food.

Maan: haan to ab batao..achanak se tumhara mood kyun kharab hogaya tha? Agar Sam ki wajah se ghussa theen then I am really sorry on behalf of her..he sed honestly

Geet: u don't need to be Maan..bas aise hi..uski baatien yaad aagain..aur dil chaha k..she got queit

Maan: K?..he asked

Geet: K..hmm..k..kuch nahi..she stopped herself

Maan smiled: u can say it..come on take it all out..bolo..

Geet: boldoon?

Maan nodded..

"mera dil chaha K usko wapas bula kar aisa jawab doon na..k usko uski naani yaad aajain.." she started,

This time Maan loudly laughed..

Geet: hans kya rahe ho..main sach bol rahi hoon..tum khud he batao agar main aik insaan se nicely behave kar rahee hoon..woh mujhko didi bol raha hai..so wat if hez a servant..iss se meri class decide karne waali woh kon hoti hai..apnay aap ko samajhti kya hai woh..extra mini dresses pehen kar mujhe kya dikhana chahti hai..ughh..aur tum..she pointed at Maan who was listening to her surprisingly yet interestingly..he moved back..

"Main kya? Maine kya kiya?" he asked innocently

Geet: mujhe yaqeen nahi aata..woh tumhari dost bani kaise..i mean look at Sid..hez so nice and honest but woh..she sed annoyingly

Maan: actually meri ussay dosti Sid ki wajah se hi huwi thi..he was use to have a crush on her in college days!..

"What?"..she sed shockingly.."Ab bhi kya?" she asked wid the same expression

Maan: No..i asked him today and he sed she has changed..and I cud see it today..he sed it was just infatuation..nothing else

Sid: that's really smart of Sid

Maan: cum on yaar..ab itni bhi buri nahi hai woh!..tum to peechay he parh gayeen..he teased

Geet: tum ko bohot bura lag raha hai..haan haan lagay ga..tumhari chahne waali ki burai kardi maine..Mr. Hot ki Miss Hottie! Rite!..this time she got really angry..

Maan: wow wow wow..this is going no where..tum mujhko uss k saath kyon link kar rahee ho?

Geet: Main link kar rahee hoon?..wahi tumhare chipak rahee thee..full time..

Maan: ab iss main meri kya ghalti hai..woh khud he..he sed embarrassingly

Geet just looked away..the waiter brought the food..

Maan: Khana aagaya..ab mood acha karo..warna khana bhi acha nahi lagay ga

She ignored..

Maan: mujhe kahin se jalne ki boo aarahee hai!..he sed looking around making a face

Geet quietly looked at him..and then leaned down on the table and smelled the food.."khanay main se to nahi aa rahi!" she sed seriously..

Maan looked at her unbelievably and then cracked up..she kept looking at him confusingly

Geet: Kya huwa?

Maan: hahaha..kuch nahi!!..chalo khana khate hain..he sed looking at his fav Palak Paneer..

Geet: yeah!..Maan..Tum restaurant aakar bhi Palak Paneer khao gai?..

Maan: haan..kyon koi problem hai..pata hai..yahan ki speciality yahan ka delicious palak paneer hai..

Geet: acha..

Maan: yeah yeah..taste it..he sed offering her a spoon of Palak Paneer..

She looked at him who was smiling..holding spoon infront of her lips..all of a sudden she felt so contented that she even forgot that she was upset..she smiled and opened her mouth..

Maan: Kaisa hai?

Geet nodded.."Bohot acha!" she sed in a low tone..

Maan: kaha tha maine..im always right!..

Geet: ahem..tum..

"Hey Geet"..sum1 interrupted..Geet and Maan both looked up and saw a guy standing in front of their table..

"Kaisee ho?" he asked smilingly

Geet who never expected to see his class fellow at her table was shocked..

Geet: theek!..she sed surprisingly because it was the first time when she actually replied back to him..she remembered how she ignored him and his other frends who was bothering her at the bus stop when she was waiting for Maan

Now the guy looked at Maan and then shook hands wid him.." Hi Im Ankit."

Maan: Hii

"Geet ne meray baare main bataya hoga ya nahi..i don't knw..but let me introduce myself..main Geet ka class fellow hoon..uski accounting class main.."

Maan: oh nice to meet u!

Ankit: same here..waise sorry for disturbing u guys on ur date but..i just wanted to say that I and the whole college would like to invite u on prom nite which is Tuesday nite..it's not on weekends coz of the sudden announcement of city conference..well im sure that u wud be cuming wid Geet on prom..but thought to tell u that we all will be expecting u to be there..

Maan: hmmm..

Geet interrupts: actually..He will be out of town on Tuesday..so we really can't come.

Maan shockingly looked at her..

Geet: soo yeah

Ankit: ohh..cumon..u can't miss the prom..agar tumhara partner nahi hoga then we can go together..just 'as frends'..he quickly clarified..actually meri bhi partner nahi hai..decide he nahi kiya..lekin agar tum akeli ho..then we can go together..if u don't have any problem.

Geet looked at Maan for help..who was now victoriously was looking at her.."ahem..that very nice of u..ahem" she tried to make an excuse..

"BUT..i will be here on Tuesday nite.. and I will surely cum..Geet I think I forgot to tell u that my meeting wid my clients has been postponed till next week."..he lied and tried to make it look more casual.

Ankit who was pretty excited was now seemed pretty dull.."Ohh..so ok then..c u both there!"

Maan: yeah yeah..sure..and hope u find ur partner soon..

Ankit: oh yeah..not a big deal for me..i am the 1 who will decide which girl will go wid me..girls are waiting for me out there..so no worries for me..he sed wid an attitude

Maan: Ohh! Ok then c u on Tuesday nite..

Ankit: ok..bye..and he left.

Geet sighed wid relief.."thank u so much!" she sed gratefully looking at Maan

Maan who seemed a little upset was just now eating his food..

"Kya huwa?..maine kuch ghalat kaha ya kiya kya?" she sed noticing him

Maan ignored and kept eating..

Geet: Maan bolo na..

Maan still was ignoring..this time Geet held his hand and stopped him from eating..

"Kya huwa?"..she asked looking at him..

"tumne jhoot kyon bola?..kya tum nahi chahteen k main tumhare saath prom par jaaon..i mean..agar woh pooch raha hai..aur invite kar raha hai..then y not"..he complained

Geet: maine socha k shayad tum meray saath jana pasand nahi karogai..ya phir tum busy hogay iss liye..sach main mera tumko hurt karne ka koi bhi irada nahi tha..

Maan looked at her.."its ok..u sound honest to me.." he sed making a face..

Geet: acha..chalo..ab khana khaao..she sed leaving his hand..

Maan: jaisa aap kahain madam..

Geet chuckled

Ankit and other guys were done and now were leaving the restaurant..while getting out of the place Ajay asked Ankit

"Kya huwa? Who log aa rahay hain kya prom par..?" Ajay asked Ankit

Ankit: haan..woh uska boyfriend..pehlay nahi aanewala tha..aur mera aur Geet k aane ka full chance tha..lekin end moment par..poora plan kharab hogaya..

Ajay: Kya matlab?

Ankit: uskay Boyfrend ki meeting thi..maine kaha that me and her will go..just as frends but at the very last moment uss ne kaha k uski meeting postpone hogayee hai..

Ajay: don't worry brother..dono main kitna pyaar hai..yeh to prom nite par he pata chalay ga..!! its going to be a big nite for us, for that Geet and her Maan!..he sed grinning evilly

hey guys..guess wat..now the new turn will be here soon..which will actually change everything between Maan and Geet..except for their caring nature about each other..im not saying that they will confess on prom nite..but its something different and something that u wont expect 😛..Excited..same here 😉
