Hey guys! As you know Asian drama love stories mostly have second leads which competes with the lead guy.
And you fall in love with the second lead at first because he is such a nice guy.
You want him to be paired with the lead girl. But the girl ends up with the lead guy who you initially thought was such an ass.
So I wanted to know who are your favorite second leads? Whom you loved more than the lead or loved them both?

I'll start first...I loved Hua Tou Ye from Autumn's Concerto because he was selfless till the end. He never forced Mu Cheng to love him back. He stayed beside her in any situation & helped her in any situation. And he just seemed real. The way he was heart-broken after he found out Mu Cheng got married to someone else. And he told her how he felt betrayed. I loved him! But yeah, I wanted Guang Xi & Mu Cheng to be together too. So I loved both Guang Xi & Tuo Ye. But Tuo Ye is the only character as a second lead that I never hated. Normally I find second leads quite irritating.

So what about you guys. Do share your favorites. 😊

Unless second leads are villain Asian dramas create them in a way where you can't help but like them. I have got to be honest though never loved Jihoo in BBF. He seemed to dead to begin with (thanks to KHJ), I never felt a heartbreak would do any damage to him.

Most favorite second leads have to Tuo ye and Shinwoo (YAB). I never wanted Tuo Ye with Mu cheng, but unlike other male leads I really felt bad for him. He was such a cute, hot, awesome (cute hot) sweet, caring guy. I am happy he fell for the other girl at the end. I really liked them. Like seriously I cried like a baby when the music was playing and he kept remembering all the things she did for him and how he was suppose to protect her but it ended up being her who always protected him. I thought Guanxi and Mucheng were one of the best couples I had ever seen, and I loved them to bits, But toward the end I wanted to see Tuo Ye and the other girl's scenes more.

My second one is Shinwoo. I am a huge JGS fan. I have loved all his older movies, new movies etc. But in YAB I couldn't stop myself from loving Shinwoo (yonghwa) more. I don't like nice guys on shows, I love the jerk characters with complexity and depth, still I couldn't stop falling for the nice guys.

Oh right, Hanazawa Rui Poor Guy!

I never felt sorry for JiHoo too. 😆 KJH's a nice guy known for his 3D/4D personality but as an actor, he has dead expressions. No offence to KJH fans though.

I liked Shinwoo in the beginning but towards the end...I kinda hated him. Actually, I'm a biased TaeNyu fan so any extras between them irked me a lot. Especially He Yi!!!

Oh I also loved Jeremy as a second lead. He was too cute. And he made me cry when his heart broke. 😔

Ahh omg i fall in love with the second lead of every drama i watch and don't want the actress to get together with the main lead. But it always happens that way. If i give u the list of all my fav's we will be here all day lol. But i will write a few.

My most favourite was Lee jun ki in My Girl (ahh the PAIN he had to go through....just seeing him cry made my heart melt., ) He soo deserved to get together with the lee da hee.

Then comes the meteor garden/hyd/bbf ~all the characters in white haha...jihoo, rui....loved them.

Then the rest are in Japanese most fav being Hana Kimi's Nakatsu!

i agree with all of u and adding to the above list are Ah Jin from ISWAK(i so loved him yaar) and also the second lead from Shining Inheritance... but my most fav will be Hanazawa Rui from HYD(not from bbf)... i hated it when he finally became a priest(really felt bad for that guy ...kudos to Oguri Shun⭐️)

Pretty much all the guys you've mentioned I would've picked as well. Someone mentioned Lee Jun Ki in My Girl - he would've been my first pick as well, my heart broke for him every-time he looked at Lee DaHae. I don't know about anyone else but when I first watched Full house and even now I still believe that Min Hyuk deserved Han Ji-Eun. I loved Min Hyuk and even though Rain shaped up at the end and all but still my heart went for Min Hyuk.

my favorite right now would have to be kim jaewook's character in "bad guy".
now, warning, "bad guy" is an addictive drama.. and kim jaewook totally steals the show! his acting is AMAZING and i thought he had more chemistry with the lead girl than kim namgil did. he's def not the typical second lead in "bad guy".. i think he's the REAL "bad guy" actually... if that makes sense xD
anyway, kim jaewook totally deserves a drama where he's the main lead!
(side note: have you guys seen kim jaewook in antique bakery? SO GOOD!)
(side side note: seriously considering trying to find him when i go to korea... maybe get an autograph? kekeke if only!)
