Well last night's episode was sad and revealing in many ways.....It was sad that Avdesh was used by the person he trusted the most, perhaps even considering her a surrogate mother. He has a childlike trust and belief in her - which puts him in danger, so many ways. Yet I also think he knows her like no one else. He may not be privy to the delusions of her fantasy but he knows her temperment very well......How can he not, after living with his bhauji for so many years?...think back to when he bought Arpita home with him that first time, the look on bhauji's face made him immediately step in front of Arpita, to protect her...
After feeding him like a child, stroking and caressing his hair, she tucked him in bed - her feelings anything but motherly. Her aim was to show his new wife that she held the key of the man known as Avdesh. Also to thrust the knife and alienate the young girl who followed her heart to this strange haveli.
Avdesh, however is consumed by thoughts of his love.... Her words were haunting his sleep and he knows no peace while slumering restlessly.... Eventually he woke up, only to see his bhauji in his room, his gun in her hand.... A very telling mistake, which bhauji picked up on immediately...that his mind is elsewhere, with someone who has a really strong pull on him otherwise how could he forget something that could make the difference between his life and death?... Avdesh got up and walked past her, presenting his back. There was a worried look on his face, a certain tenseness that hinted at a inner turmoil.
Bhauji knew he was missing his wife very much and so put on a show of crocodile tears, tearfully telling him to forget his oath and get back to his wife....if she could, she would pick the gun up herself but she relied on him to do this but he is suffering now...the gentle heart of Avdesh twisted and spasmed with grief, indebtedness and duty...so he declared that love will only come after his oath has been fulfilled, he will keep to his word...yet the worried look remained......he then decided to go out as he was unable to sleep...heavy heart and sad.....

Arpita stood outside, unseen by her husband but seen by bhauji. Arpita looked into the face of the person responsible for keeping her husband away from her. In this one night alone, she finally understood the everything that has been puzzling her since she stepped into the mansion....she knew that her jethani wanted her as a slave, one who will do as she orders and keep to the place shown her...her jethani finally showed what was in her black heart. She coveted Arpita's husband. Arpita kept her calm, but determination showed in her face...she will not lose her husband, the man she fought to have in her life, the man who's love cloaks her like a perfume drawing into her with her every breath. Her love unlimited and boundless, come hell or high water.
Bhauji may not know this but it is thanks to her that Arpita finally shed off that "uncertain girl in a new place and unfamiliar territory" skin. She will be strong so that her husband will succeed in his mission. She will not lose him.
The great art of life is sensation, to feel that we exist, even in pain.
Tonights episode, bhauji revealed alot...to Arpi, including her illicit passion for Avdesh...though not in many words but I am sure Arpi got the message.🤢...what came across more than anything was her desperate need to feel, to experience what she believes she missed out on by being a widow...she wants to exist....she wants the sybaritic pleasures of life with Avdesh and she will not tolerate anyone else getting in the way....mainly Arpita....so for the moment, Arpita will be for her own amusement, someone to scare or toy with until she gets bored......A pity that in her madness she seems to have total amnesia that Avdesh will die with anything happens to his love, Arpita....but that is what madness is. It only see's what it wants to see.
My thoughts:
I don't know why but I think Avdesh knows that bhauji doesn't like it if he thinks of Arpita....that moment in his bedroom, he looked really worried, I could see he felt pressurised to answer the way he did, that he will not think of love until his oath is fulfilled but it left him sad, angry and depressed...because all he could do was think of Arpita, his love....her words were echoing around his brain, and he desperate wants to race away from them, to drown them anyway he can...then we see the precap. He is drinking, in a bid to drown out her words that she will not stand by him...to drown out the knowledge that he is trapped by duty....to drown out the thought that his bhauji is using him in a bid to keep him away from his wife....He knows. Whether he will acknowledge that or will be in denial for some time, remains to be seen.....
Arpita made strides in her development today. She was upset and hurt and sad to begin with, yet it did not stop her from braving bhauji and questionning Avdesh's lifestyle....in the end we saw ther determination....the resolve to keep her love safe and sound...with her.
As for bhauji, well over confidence is a step away from a huge fall...down into the pits. That confidence will make her remain unware of Arpita's change -until too late- is also good...she is feeling smug that she controls Avdesh and has scared Arpita witless🤢. Otherwise, I did not like her at all today, the little sympathy I had is rapidly vanishing into the ether.....😃
