Demand for Rakhi's arrest grows

Haryana/Mumbai, Nov 14 (IBNS) The controversy surrounding alleged suicide of a young boy after being humiliated on a television show by Rakhi Sawant continues to haunt the Bollywood item girl.

After the boy's family decided to seek police help, Punjab tourism and cultural affairs minister Hira Singh Gabria has written to Information and Broadcasting minister Ambika Soni demanding a ban on the show 'Rakhi ka Insaaf'.

He has demanded either 'ban' on broadcasting of the show or 'deletion' of objectionable content.

The minister said he was urged by people wherever he went to take action against the show, in which Rakhi seeks to settle disputes in her own way.

The Bhartiya Kisan Union on Sunday also demanded that the item girl be arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of the youth.

24-year-old Lakshman Prasad of Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh had appeared in Rakhi's show, "Rakhi ka Insaaf' on NDTV Imagine, in October to settle a marital discord with his wife Vineeta during which Rakhi shouted at Lakshman and termed him 'namard' (impotent).

After the show was aired, his neighbours started teasing him, which sent him into a state of shock and depression, his family alleged.

He stopped eating and went into depression and finally died at a local hospital last week.

The outfit's spokesperson Rakesh Tikait alleged that a youth from Jhansi had committed suicide after he was insulted on her show Rakhi ka Insaaf and demanded that she should be booked for abatement of suicide.

Laxman, 25, suffered from depression ever since he was humiliated at the reality TV show, following which he was admitted to Jhansi Medical College hospital on November 9, his family had claimed.

Unable to bear the ignominy, he stopped taking his food and eventually died on November 11, his uncle Balbir, who had also taken part in the programme, had alleged.

but she should tone down her language...justice can be offered without creating nonsensical drama....i could understand if she really does 'INSAAF' in the end........but at the end, she says some things to parties....as they will bother abt tht after the show goes off her...

in this part...kiran bedi's show was very good....she used to give the LEGAL information to both the parites....what they can do in future if the matter doesn't get solved....

anyways AMBIKA soni es show ki WATT lagakar rahengi....she stopped sach ka samna midway also...............

tht goes the same with ppl who like rAkhi......yes i have seen aap ki kacheri...and i said tht she used to give legal advise to both the parties that will help them in future and why would anybody complain there ?? the people used to satisfied with the justice at the end...does RAKHI do that???

for example : recently a gay guy comes to get insaaf becoz her parents doesnt like his attitude and lifestyle and so his brother who beats him...what did she do in the end.......just ask the parents tht they accept her...........AS IF THEY will do it.........and what abt her brother, he beats him everyday....can ms sawant guarantee tht he wont beat him the next time....??
