i remember this song! i had forgotten about it for some time! i really love it a lot.

it's interesting though, after hearing Sonu-ji's rendition of Suhani Raat and hearing Rafi-ji songs, i keep noticing a similarity in their voice texture.

IMHO - there can never be another 'Rafi' or 'Kishore' - singers like that are made once.

Although I really like Sonu Nigam's rendition of the good ol songs for keeping the puraani yaadein alive.

Singers can try their best to copy some songs with great effort but that is as far as they can go I notice.

Waheguru! Summer bhai, yaar Kamran Saggu sings suhani raat . . , baat kuch jami nahi mere bhai. He was not even close to Rafi Sahab in any note. Wasai bhi mere doost, Rafi ji ki aawaz to kano mai mishree ki tareh gulee hui hai. Nobody will ever sound like Rafi sahab.
