To Love Again - Part - 41

A new day began with the singing of the birds with other animals alarming the sleeping world to wake up from their sleep. Maan rolled over to Geet's side of the bed and nuzzled into her silky hair wanting to spend the Sunday morning with his wife. Little did he know that it would only disturb his sleep as his body was alarmed with her scent wanting to breathe in the whole of it? He wondered about the reason why he wanting Geet increased day by day, as every day is a dewy day for them. He has never even thought of his life changing so much, spending his life with the one he loved most and then to have a beautiful daughter to complete his family.

Maan carried Mahek to the downstairs to go on a morning ride with and Geet followed them with a small bag packed with the necessities for the baby. Daadima, who was waiting for them in the outside took Mahek from Maan and gave her blessings to Mahek as it was the day that she has turned to six months. Geet too was back to her normal size, yet her body was still recovering from all the effects of pregnancy. Maan wondered about the growing beauty and innocence in his wife as she sat on the seat next to him "beautiful" he whispered while helping her to fasten the seat belt. "What?" asked Geet when she heard his whisper, but he distracted her with the start of the weather talk.

Nothing has changed about their favorite place still, Geet wondered while looking around the riverside where Maan and she used to come during her pregnancy. The bushes and trees welcomed them again, the flowers bowed at them in rhythm with the gentle breezes upon seeing their complete family. Daadima sat on the bench with Mahek helping Maan and Geet to spend some time alone with each other. She watched them walking together with their fingers entwined, the gentle blows making Geet's hair to fly all over her face, which were cleared by Maan's gentle touches and they appeared more like a couple borne in heaven. She wiped her eyes and looked up at the sky wishing and praying to keep Geet and Maan happy and together forever.

It was a bit later than the lunch time when they have finally reached home, and Geet rushed to check on Mahek's food. She has to be very careful as it was the very first time that she was going to try solid food on Mahek, so she asked Maan to help her. Without knowing what she was doing Maan followed her like a kid asking what he could do to help her that only slowed her down instead of making it quick. When she could not take any more she made Maan to sit on a chair and ran towards Daadi's room to bring Mahek for feeding.

"Did you taste it, Geet bte?" Daadima asked her when she stepped into the room. Geet shook her head and went out with her grumblings "babaji, what am I going to do now?" but the moment she saw Maan her face delighted as he could help her. "I forgot to serve this special dessert to you, Maan" Geet said in a seductive voice and offered a spoonful of the baby food to Maan, who was unable to believe the swift of mood in Geet within split seconds. He asked her "are you sure, Geet?" and tasted the tasteless food, but hid the reality and lied to her by saying "Geet, thank you sweetheart, I didn't know that you were such a wonderful cook" , he complimented her wanting her to move away, embarrassed so that he could throw the food in his mouth. Geet smiled at Maan and went out thinking that she has completed the task, but the tough one was still on the way.

Maan helped Geet to feed Mahek her first solid food; he acted as a joker making faces and singing in funny voices to make Mahek to open her mouth. Mahek tasted the food but refused to take the second bite because she did not like it, and when Geet put the food into her mouth she blew it out on to her mommy's face. Maan laughed with Mahek who clapped after her success, but Geet fused in anger as Maan too mocked at her "Geet, she did not like it at all" he said finally sensing the quietness in his wife. Geet looked at the plate in her hands and asked him "how come you say that? You tasted it and told me it was so delicious" and covered her mouth with her hands when she realized what she has just said, but it was too late that there was nothing more she could do. Maan caught her hand and murmured "so you have tested the baby food on me, very smart my little wife" and pressed her lips with his index finger but she pointed at Mahek and ran away as he set her free.

The heavy downpour made people to be trapped at their homes, but Vicky kept on walking along through the park along with Myra. None of them seemed to be affected on the storm, as the storm they were going through was more powerful than what they were experiencing, finally Myra broke the silence "Vicky, how long are we going to live like this?" making Vicky to halt on his step with her question. Vicky, himself did not know how long he has to hide himself from his family, as he has come back to Delhi after three years.

"You did nothing wrong, so why are you punishing yourself and your family?" Myra was right, he did not do anything wrong but it was the circumstances that made him guilty. He could never tolerate or forgive what his bhabhi, Nayantara did to him and his family, she not only destroyed his brother, Maan's life but she has poisoned his life as well. "Myra, you have to help me the way you did before, but don't let them know that we both are together" Vicky held Myra's hands as he made her promise to him in helping him like she did before, in clearing the misunderstandings between him and his family. Myra covered Vicky's hand on top of hers as Vicky embraced her in his arms hoping and wishing a happy life for both of them, once everything is cleared.
