Prerna, Tulsi, Rani, Ganga, Heer, Laxmi, Saadhna, Archana and NOW Taani.

Seriously, not to be rude, but when you are an easy target, when you are a weak fighter, when you have gone through the blame game a million times, when you are supposedly educated yet you have a brain the size of a peanut - you should know better than to act like GOD all the time.

It's ok that you are pure at heart, and that you want to help the world. Yes, we do want to see strong women, smart women, sacrificing women - but don't try to act like a supernatural creature.

It's not the fault of these actresses. It's the creatives who show these girls as soooo wimpy brained, lacking good judgment and common sense. And we have seen it a million times and get so frustrated.

Taani wants to help Ananya (who doesn't deserve help). What does Taani do? She doesn't tell Anurag or Ma (who would ultimately trust her). She herself goes to fight the devil without weapons. AND GETS CAUGHT and BLAMED.

Taani finds out that Robindo likes Mauli. What does Taani do? She (without consulting Ma or MAULI!) alone goes to Mauli's mom. Really Taani, would you really do that?

She's done this in other instances too - not in bad intentions at all.

For the record - this is not an attack, it's just a thought of why these so called smart women are made to look so stupid.

I agree... Taani is really cute and sweet at heart and really love her that way
but I think its the CV's to blame for making her brain the size of a peanut
I think they just want to represent a typical Indian girl who does anything for the family's
happiness but they have forgotten the fact that the world has moved on...
even though you are pure at heart, girls today still consult and think before
they do things like Taani did for Mouli

i completely agree with CAqueen...my angel can be a huge duffer at times, atleast most of the time...but what balances her character is her equal number of light-hearted scenes, where she KNOWS how to give a natural adorable laugh off & make ppl adore her, she just NEVER fakes it :) This is the thing tht's missing in all the other characters u mentioned actually (dnt know bout rani & heer that much)...but was a huge fan of sadhna & prerna & archu & knew tulsi, i dnt remember the last time they were happy, or even were they EVER happy? :S Another thing i love about my angel is that she KNOWS how to speak her heart out, not may be at the perfect times, but she does know. Her scolding, teasing, giggle, everything just steal my heart & they r so SOOOOOOOO NATURAL!😍 but do agree with you about being dumb...oh well thats the #1 rule for any BT female lead, they don't come with free large brain🤣

I really hope that it's time for the CVs to do some soul searching, before they build characters of Indian educated women. The CVs should travel across India, and visit universities, organisations, cultural places etc to see how the modern educated Indian women are dealing with the present life in India - either as a married women, single women, career women etc.
It is high time that these CVs really go for a rigorous professional development course on the present status of the Indian women in home and abroad. Otherwise, they will continue to write these mindless serials, where the Indian womens are seen as always being oppressed and in a pathetic state of ...
It looks from all the serials that the CVs based in Mumbai are very narrowly focussed, and thinks the world around them are still what it was 20 years ago.

Agreed.

The other thing I notice a lot is in a lot of shows they show girls as so strong willed and smart before marriage. After marriage, they become so weak and stupid. This has happened with some characters.

I'm not saying people in real life are always smart - but TV in general has made women look so pathetic. The villains seem to have some more sense at times.

The one thing I LIKE about Taani's character as some of you put out was that she can break out into laughter in an instant. I didn't see a lot of that in some of the other glycerine queens of TV.
