Very nice post .I think more than what the secret is,he would be more disturbed by the fact that there is a SECRET side of his Nakku which was hidden for him and his love did not trust him enough to tell him.He has always closed himself in a shell away from the world because he thinks no one can be trusted and he did not want to get hurt and betrayed again.After loooong and reluctantly he has opened himself in front of Nakku and made himself vulnerable again.He considers Nakku utmost honest and truthful.Never can he imagine she would have a side which is hidden from him...it would reignite his trust issues.And hot headed he is,so his logical mind would shut off for some time and his dark side would take over where he would be clouded by demons of his mind .And it would not help that FR would be presented to him in a overdramatic way by evil trio,dipped in venom .
The phrases like "uspe kabhi bharosa mat karna " (DP),Jab tujhe uska suspense pata chalega or something like that by Anna ,Even Ganpat saying ye maan beti apko dokha de re hai...this simple truth would be contorted and deformed in a vicious way before he can clearly see the reality..and then only after long he would be able to come to a point to say...Oh! big deal,its just skin colour..and has nothing to do with dhokha

But i do have a question to ask...when was Dutta actually curious about Naku? Did he even ask her about what happened at Anna's place or Morey? Initially it was okay that he respected her privacy because they were strangers, but what happened after that? Did he ever make the effort of knowing this girl who did so much for him? Did he ask her about her life? Did he encourage her to open up? he was so caught up in his own affairs that he never even bothered about who Naku is? He even admits to Baaji that he doesnt know about her likes and dislikes...so what would make her reveal herself in front of a man who doesnt even ask her anything?

This is a very good question....a very valid point you've posed.

I do agree that Dutta should have made more of an effort to know more about her but it seems to me that this is just how their relationship came to be....Nakku presented herself as a very simple, transparent sort of girl with simple desires, no real aspirations other than wanting everyone to be happy and her faith in God....I think the few times that Dutta has even tried to maybe tried to get to know her better, she's side-stepped the questions with a general philosophical sort of bhaashan about the topic at hand....things never came to a point where they could talk about her past before she came to live in the PN.....also deliberate on the part of the writers since they were saving all of that drama/questioning for the FR....so maybe we'll get to see all that now.

He he...I think you're right Chinu! Here we've been breaking our heads over the countless possibilities and in the end I think we're gonna get the same old predictable drama. Dutta crying Dhokaa Dhokaa!!😃 I've become so much involved in this story that I sometimes forget that it's just another television show. *sigh* It isn't just that, for me. Somehow, it's the stark simplicity and the honesty that moves me. I just replied to a post that said the show is boring. I wanted to tell the person what LTL really is. But I don't think I'll be able to explain that in a few words. When I say honesty, I mean the way the show's never compromised on originality and subtlety. There's this understated elegance to the whole theme, and the dialogues are classy. Without doubt. Which is why, LTL inspite of being a hard-to-digest story about a fair girl who hides her face under a layer of soot, has class. I find most of the shows with the rustic theme loud and artificial. Maybe coz of the costumes, the heavy make up and jewellery and the characterization. LTL, in this respect, has never made a compromise. It has remained true to its theme, and this we clearly see in Dutta's attire, Naku's chappals(😆) or even the other people who behave like typical townsfolk. Babi and Ganpat are loud and crass, unabashedly! If i didn't know better, I'd believe that Naku's really some gao ki gori(ya saavri, whatever) All credit goes to the actors, I know!
