Chefs are like this only... any chef will tell you that what kind of language is spoken in kitchen with trainees .. for a trainee first year of job is just for cutting onions and preparation kitchen .. they are not even allowed to come near range .. their duty hours are long... but that does not mean that they are rude at home also :)

It is like bad food can just spoil someone's mood completely

Also it is an industry where you consume first and they pay ... not u pay first and later use the product in absense of who made it ... so this business needs great care ...

Frayed tempers are common in high pressure jobs and situations. But using it as an instrument to raise TRPs is not palatable. Why must every reality show have a Simon Cowell clone?

hey! i'm watching the show's Australian version as well; the chefs there r quite decent! (esp. that bald guy is a very good mentor)
@ the TM u r right. i heard the same thing from Sanjeev Kapoor. but that's the part of the profession. eh? ever seen Sanjeev Kapoor acting rude! the judges r doing these for TRP; sheer gimmickry, i must say!

I think this rudeness is just to build the pressure for contestants ... & also to raise TRPs ...

@moglif21: Agree with you. The judges in the Indian version can definitely learn a thing or two from their Australian counterparts. Callum messed up his dish in the last invention test, and the judges did not badger him, all guns blazing. Compare that with the MC India judges today, w.r.t. the blue team. Terming the soup, 'finger bowl water' was a bit too harsh.
