I guess thats because Initially, she was skeptical of the future, she didnt know what the future held for her....She always thought that In all probability she wuld end up gng to Dhulwadi...and once she fell in love with Shaan, her thoughts became more skeptical -how would she manage without Shaan?...How would her life look without him? Skepticism of future usually takes away the smile from ones face but now she knows where her future lies...She has shaan's love, she is sure of her love for him....Natasha and Suraj's tracks have become bygones...Shaan and Khanak have started afresh.....Hence, its a new beginning for her.....where her future is sealed with Shaan....and she is no more scared of being challenged by her inlaws because no matter how much SD and BD detest her, they have forcibly accepted her...So, other than changing their views about her, she doesnt have to worry about planning or plotting......

completely agree with u she has changed herself to the old khanak who was outspoken,bubbly,sweet cute,happy go lucky types who takes life as it comes and moulds according to environment .

khanak has changed fr the best....i loved her b4 too n love her much more 2 day also..........she is the only character in indian tv that hasnt cried buckets n im so proud of that
