TOI: I was quite shy- Hussain

At 16, I was quite shy. And, when I went to college it was even more scary as I didn't really have many friends.

I spent most of my free time with cousins. But, eventually I made friends and even met my first and only girlfriend — Tina. Having a girlfriend at that age was something big.

Every incident was special to me since they were all firsts. But, the best of all was when I used to borrow a bike from my brother and take Tina for a ride around college. When we used to go for movies from college, we used to go as a group since the two of us were shy to go out alone.

My first Valentine's Day was very exciting. I went shopping for cards and a teddy for Tina. I was quite nervous because I was taking her out on a date after giving her the gifts and it was going to be the first time alone with her. She was so much more confident than me.

Tina gets nervous crossing roads. I had to hold her hand to help her cross the road. That was the first time I held her hand.
