With the increased number of TV Serial becoming popular , there is a factor of risk that these things bring to our home.Watching Serials has the top pass time of women of the Tamil Society nowadays.
The risk factor is that the Tamil Serials are promoting knowingly or unknowingly an increased level of hatred among Mother-in-laws and Daughter-in-laws.

The Times when Daughter-in-laws thought of Mother-in-laws as their own mothers and Mother-in-laws thought of their Daughter-in-laws are gone.Only hatred and mischap is found.Tamil TV Serials nowadays show too much of Female Villany in these shows.Even though they suggest they are just bringing out the crisis in the Tamil Families,in reality these Serials are the reason for a lot of family mis-understanding.😒

Some of the people reading may think that you have a fine line of distinction between fantasy and fiction, but in the case of many families,it is a truth that cannot be neglected-this effect of Female Villany in Families. This problem of IN-LAWS has never been so much as of now.Its nowhere as much as in Tamil Nadu as far as i can see.

More of Serials with better themes and new dimensional Serials can be taken . These serials can also be made Educational , perfectly balancing Educational and Entertainment.Wouldn't that be a more fulfilling cause for Inventing the TeleVision?😉

Ciao.Have a happy week and happy Diwali or as we say it here DEEPAVALI☢️!!!

Good point MysticPen and nice post. The problem is many people cannot differentiate between reel and real. Everyone of them identify themselves with the serial.

There are so many mother inlaws and daughter inlaws are more close to each other than the mil with her daughter. Why could not director portray that.

No doubt mil/dil fights do happen, but it is not in every family.
Btw, MP only SunTV produces these type of serials. Other stations do not do that. Even if there is, it is minimal. There are theme stories too. Not only that, the serial runs for minimal period unlike 2-3 years in SunTV. My mum is watching Suntv, so we are continuing to see that. But frankly speaking, I rather watch the other channels.
Mum.............. can I cancel SunTV? 😈
HAPPY DEEPAVALI EVERYONE.

No idea about increased level of MIL and DIL hating each other and that too due to Tamil serials😳

But I agree, Tamil serial plays significant role in our society, instead of showing good social message, they are showing ridiculous story. Most of the serials are about female evil vamps plotting out vengeance to extreme level. In the name of entertainment they show how to burn another human being alive, humiliate, insult, rapes, using 3rd rated/bad words, murdering someone, EMA, obsession etc and its too melodramatic, sadly the creative heads and producers fails to realize its not entertainment but they actually gives out wrong info to the viewers 🥱

Some of the shows looks promising cause creative heads starts really well until one point where they lose the creativity and it becomes a torture for the poor audience to watch.Maybe basic plot may be taken from real life but rest is wild imaginary. Not sure whether they are aware of the social obligation they have toward the society or the outcomes of their shows? They are just interested on making money so we cant put the entire blame on the show makers when we instead of quitting to watch it, gets addicted and no matter what ends up watching it until it end. We can protest, have petitions, or do something to make sure our feedbacks reach to their ear but we are too ignorant toward such factors.

@caryn, its not just Sun TV serials, its also vijay tv, jeya tv, kalaignar, raj tv etc...Tamil serials itself should be revamped and show makers should get innovative ideas or realistic story rather than showing the same old formula🤢

But are the audience willing to accept realistic story??🤔

I know us members here will do that but we forgets we doesnt represent the entire viewers, its basically people in India who has the last word to say as they counts in TRP ratings and contribute to it.
